Hi fellow Disneyphiles.

Hello fellow Disneyphiles.

I just discovered this site from a friend over on TUG.

I am just ecstatic to find a forum for like minded Adult Disneyphiles.

Finally someone who understands the madness and the magic. yay

Hi chriskre! Welcome to the boards. We are indeed like minded Adult Disneyphiles, although we may not be Adult Minded Disneyphiles. silly

I'm sure you'll fit in wonderfully and we're so glad you're here!

Thanks.

I'm just a big kid myself too on the inside, only the outside is an adult.

Thanks for the welcome. mickey

Thanks for the welcome. biggrin

Actually I live in Miami, about 4 hours away but I go very often.

I've probably been more than 100 times in my lifetime.
Definetely earned my ears. mickey

Now that I bought DVC I have been going even more. Bought that about 4 years ago.

I was there in 1970 the first year it opened when I was a kid so this year
it's gonna be 40 years of at least yearly visits and many years 2-3 times.

I've actually lost count of how many times but truly Orlando feels like a second home to me.

All my friends comment everytime I'm going, "Again"?
Some people just don't get it. confused

"There's a thread for that..." laugh

Here it is: "What's your best answer to..."

Do you head to WDW with family, friends, or solo? If I were only 4 hours away, I imagine I'd make a few relaxing solo trips once in a while!

Actually I have been over my life with friends, family, church youth groups, conferences and conventions, boyfriends but have yet to do a solo trip.

I tried to do a semi solo trip in October. I was going to spend 3 days by myself just enjoying the resort (Kidani) and then my girlfriends from work were coming up for the weekend and we'd come home together..........but........ a friend gave me puppy dog eyes and wanted to tag along before the girlfriends came up so I caved and didn't get to do my solo trip.

I had lots of tours planned but then he didn't want to spend the money doing the tours. That's the problem with going with non disneyphiles. They just don't understand why you'd pay $100 to do a tour of the behind the scenes stuff. The only tour we did was the culinary tour of Sanaa because it was free.

Oh well, there is always this year.

I'm thinking of just sneaking up there and not telling anyone this year. wink

How was the Sanaa tour? We've done the Jiko/Boma tour, but not the Sanaa one yet.

Also, awesome on sneaking up there and not telling anyone! I think it'd be great to just soak up some relaxation solo if you have the chance.

Welcome, chriskre! Yes, if you really want to do a solo trip, you may have to plan it and just not tell anyone before hand! laugh

I can *almost* promise they're not the same Brad, but I can't say I mind people drumming up support for the site! The more grown-ups, the better biggrin

Thanks everyone for the welcome. It's okay to do some site promotion.
The word needs to get out that there is a nice community for us kidless ones.
Not that I have anything against the with kids crowd, I just happen to be
kidless at the moment yet I still love my Disney. muchlove
