How important is dining?

Was wondering how important the "dining" portion of the trip is to you guys. When I go we generally have 2 ADRs for every day and are constantly stuffed. Much like many other trips I take a good portion of my enjoyment comes from what I get to eat. I get the impression though that some of you could care less about the food. How important is dining on your trip?

Well, I love to eat. And for the last couple of years, I have gone during free dining, so that has made the trips nicer. But before Free Dining, it would depend on with whom I was traveling. I like to have a nice sit down dinner, but if I am with more kids, then CS is fine. If I am solo, I will try to do California Grill because I like the food and most of my traveling partners don't like the price. But I am also perfectly happy eating at the food court for B&D and having CS in the parks. If I am doing the commando tour, eating is for fuel and getting off my feet for a few. If it's a longer trip, then eating becomes part of the plan.

I don't know if that makes sense, because I talk too much.

I really like Disney restaurants and like to make dining a big part of my planning. There's nothing better than a good burger from Pecos Bill's when you've been touring MK all day, but I also love getting dressed up to go to places like Artist Point or California Grill. mickey

Is there something to do in WDW besides eat?

Dining is a big part of our monthly jaunts to DW. We usually eat a hearty lunch and it lasts all day, plus we save money. The skillet at Whispering Canyon is still a good value, just don't think about your arteries!

Last time around I got the barbecue sandwich and Mikey got the club sandwich. The idea was to split them each in half and share. I never got to my half of the club, but we did bring it home. We will be eating Thanksgiving dinner there this year. What a treat!

Breakfast at the Whispering Canyon is great.

Breakfast is a pretty universally good meal at WDW. Also usually very similar regardless of where you are in my experience.

Dining out is an essential part of any vacation for me, and WDW is no different. I try to have at least one sit down table service meal every day--and I look forward to it as much as any ride or show.

We usually have like 2 ADRs per day and usually make most of them. As the trip wears on we usually get too full and start forcing ourselves to eat, eventually coming to the point where we don't really even want to go anymore!

Hi,

I think eating is a huge part of any vacation. since I'm not much of a cook, I like to eat out. At WDW I like to use the standard dining plan (one snack, one CS and one TS each day), but I find it to be a lot of food, particularly as I usually go alone.
