How often do you have a table-service meal?

We like to have table-service for dinner, but like to do counter service for breakfast/lunch. What do you guys do? Anyone eat table service more often?

admin: Like you the only table service meal we usually do is for dinner. Since we are DVC members we have breakfast in our "home" consisting of either bagels or english muffins and counter service lunch at whatever park we are in that day.

We always do table service for dinner. We're doing Boma breakfast and Biergarten lunch this trip which we need to pay for outside of the dining plan.

We like to do at least one table service per day, but I have to admit that some of my favorites are counter service restaurants! Casey's Corner, Pecos Bill's, and Cosmic Rays hold a special place in my...stomach? <3

We generally only have dinner, but this next trip we are having a few breakfasts and dinners- so we've upgraded to deluxe dining. laugh

We're similar to Vettelover, as DVC members we take advantage of the room's kitchenette for breakfast; usually a bagel, piece of fruit, or yogurt, etc.

Counter Service lunch in the parks & a table service dinner every night. I feel like you need that 'sit down' time in the evening to regroup & collect our thoughts over a nice dinner.

Ooh! Exciting! I'd love to hear about how you like Deluxe Dining.

We're also DVC people who do breakfast in the villa.

We like to have a sit-down on almost each day of our stay, but it's not always dinner. Many restaurants on property offer idenitical or similar menus for lunch, but at a reduced price.

Plus, sitting down for a meal at lunchtime makes for a nice break after a busy morning in the parks, especially if you've been there since rope-drop.

We usually do just a couple of TS meals on each trip, although on this past trip we purchased the dining plan and enjoyed a TS every day...I think we may have been spoiled on this trip.

In the past we'd do a couple of TS at our favorite places (Boma, Biergarten, Whispering Canyon) and then TS for the rest of our meals. Neither of us are big breakfast eaters...as long as we can get a LARGE coffee and a breakfast bar we're good.

Don't know as Deluxe DP would be a good value for us since breakfast is not a big deal for us...and actually looking at what the Deluxe includes; 3 full meals, appetizer AND dessert, plus snacks....I don't think we could eat that much food in a day!! silly

We're pretty similar to @Imagineer. We like to do a table service at lunch. We usually get to the park in the morning, tour for a couple of hours, and then we finish off with a nice relaxing meal. After that, we hang out at the resort for a while, then head out for the afternoon touring (or continue relaxing!).

Hi,

This is going to sound past tense, but it's because I haven't been to WDW in two years. I usually did at least one table service meal per night of my trips, if I was hungry enough, because that was the allotment under the regular dining plan. The plan as it was then configured was a lot of food even for a big eater like me, so often I had unused meals when I went home.

We do at least one TS everyday - the TS restaurants are one of our favorite parts of Disney! Somedays we will do two - if we have a sit down breakfast (we usually do counter service) or a lunch we will still do a TS for dinner every night!

Good morning everyone. We pretty much do TS for breakfast & dinner every night since we get the Deluxe dinning package. It is a lot of food thought. If we stay at a non DVC resort, we will do room service for breakfast some times if we know we'll have unused meals at the end of our trip if we didn't.

Wait...you can use the dining package for meal plans?

If you have a Dining package with TS, you can use it for room service if your resort has room service. SSR dose not , but when we stay at the Poly, yes you can use it but its 2 TS points (or meals) for each meal.

That makes me so happy. I had no idea you could use the dining plan for room service! Now, the deluxe dining plan gets you 3 table service credits per person, per day, right? So you could easily do room service breakfast and another table service dinner and not run out of points, right? mickey

Yes Admin that is correct, and if they are offering free dinning plan , you upgrade to the deluxe plan and you can't beat it!
