I botched it

I booked a trip for 5/23. As I feared MK will be open all night on 5/22. Now I can't get BLT, flight change fees are $400. What a mess. Major FWP.

Woe is me.

You can always pitch a tent in Camp Wilderness. wink

Availabilty tool on DVC web site indicates that there is a 1 bedroom villa available at Wilderness Lodge from 05/16 - 05/22. Better grab it quick before it disappers......or at least grab some of the days!

Colonel, I searched on the WDW site for 1 night (5/23) and looks like you've got options. I just did a quick look but it seems those options are all around the $400 airline fee. GOOD LUCK! crossfingers

You mean the Hall of Sleepytime and the Carousel of Napping, of course.

Jk--I love CoP. HoP on the other hand...I've been known to take my fair share of naps there... silly

POP Century! Not a point to my name did I have. So I'm going Value. Better than a park bench I hope. At least I'll be there.

And I paid the airline their damn $400 change fee.

So glad you found a room and a solution , even if you had to bite the $400..
but - It's Disney! So $400 really doesn't "count" biggrin

You got that right MM. I don't mind spending money, but that $400 just rubbed me the wrong way. They wouldn't even let me use miles to satisfy that.

Hey Ohio, I read they start lining up for the 24 hour event at DL at 12 midnight. What time do you plan to get to rope drop at MK? And when does Disney transport start running for that event? When does it stop?

If anybody has done the event at MK, please let me know how it works. There is very little info on line about the logistics of it.

Hey Colonel, not sure about transportation since this is my first time. Innocent But since I was anticipating (hoping) that MK would be open 24 hours I made my reservation 11 months ago at my first home resort, BLT. Besides........did I mention that it is my birthday? (Only every time I post silly ) So, with the help of a flashlight, my commute from BLT to MK will be about a seven minute walk.

Not sure about the time people start lining up at WDW, but that doesn't surprise me that DL will start lining up at midnight. Maybe RobynPrincess will be able to confirm since she will be on the West Coast. But I did manage to slightly change my reservation. Will now be checking in for a two night stay in a Polynesian Villa studio before moving to BLT on Wednesday. I hope that there is somebody who has been to a 24 hour party that can enlighten us!! confused

But it appears that LouisianaMike, Jeshie, you and I will all be there on May 22. I am so excited and can hardly wait!!
