We haven't seen the first one yet, but people seem to like it. Has anyone seen the sequel yet? Is it worth us going out and renting the first one so we can see the second in the theater?

I have seen both and loved both and highly recommend them. The folks I went with said they preferred the first one because the narrative was more straightforward. There is a LOT going on in the second film (they could have eliminated one plot thread easily). Still, it's a very good movie. The action sequences and technology are terrific, if you're into that sort of thing.

I agree with SF. Also think it's worth it to see the first one, then go to the theater to see the second. Very cool film and worth seeing in the theater.
