J squared Labor Day weekend bar opening adventure: trip report

The players: JoAnn and Jen (JMed)

The location: Caribbean Beach Resort and Bay Lake Towers

Day 1:
My flight arrives Friday morning at 8:50. I have the day to myself as Jen will not be driving down until after work.

Bar to open: Banana Cabana Pool Bar
Parks - MK and Epcot
Late breakfast: resort
Dinner: Food & Wine Fest
Extra Curricular Activity: Beverage Seminar (Rum)
Fast Passes:
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Jungle Cruise
Peter Pan's Flight

Day 2:
Bar to open: Tune in Lounge
DHS and MK
Breakfast: resort
Lunch: Woody's Lunch Box
Dinner: Mama Melrose's
Extra Curricular Activity: Happily Ever After with Holly, Benn and friends
Fast Passes:
Star Tours " The Adventures Continue
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith
Slinky Dog Dash

Day 3:
Bar to open: La Cava del Tequila
Parks - Epcot
Breakfast: Garden Gril
lLunch and Dinner: Food & Wine Fest
Extra Curricular Activity: Wine Bar George
Fast Passes:
Spaceship Earth
Soarin' Around the World
Living with the Land

Day 4: Move to Bay Lake Towers
Parks - MK and Epcot
Bar to open: Sand Bar
Breakfast: resort
Lunch: The Plaza
Dinner: Food& Wine Fest
Fast Passes:
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
Haunted Mansion
Space Mountain

Day 5: Heading home but not before hitting up Animal Kingdom

I had to rearrange some fast passes so they didn't interfere with bar openings.

We started this theme back in February!!! We were at the Petals Bar (Pop Century) sitting there before it opened!! Bartender raised the shutters and there we were It had become a theme now. I can't wait

How to approach listed bar to open
Where you should position yourself for opening (standing at door, sitting on a stool, etc)
Should you make friendly small talk with the bartender or just order immediately
How many drinks are appropriate before moving on
ETC

Hey, I've made a career of that. Reminds me of a trip to WDW in the 90's, meeting up with my cousin (who worked at the Yacht club) and a college buddy that moved back to Sebring. We drank our way around the world, it included much taunting, daring and challenging of tolerance to alcohol. Problem is my poor cousin had to go to work that evening......
