I agree Ken I like the Castle without the crane. I hope it isn't there in 28 days when I will be there!

Some photos from this evening...

First, we decided last minute to have dinner at Tokyo Dining. So, we called them to see if we could make reservation for tonight. We were told there was nothing available. However, knowing that these restaurants keep tables open for walk-ins, we did just that and got in right away. Interesting system. This is why I'm not really big on ADRs. I like the spontaneity of deciding what you feel like that day. Tonight, we both felt like Japanese so...

Here was our delicious dinner at Tokyo Dining...

I had the sushi/sashimi dinner.

And Jan went for tempura.

We then headed over to Germany. wink

NOOOOOOOOO!!!

I then saw this in the store and Jan said NO! I mean c'mon, it's only $37,500! laugh
It made me wonder, does anyone actually buy this stuff???

A storm has been brewing for a while so we decide to head back to our resort and hang out at the Boardwalk area tonight.

And here is a shot of the performance going on right now. Shot from our balcony!

Wow!! What an awesome view!! Very sad about the beer cart in Germany - I recommend heading over to Big River Brewing to console yourself and stay out of the rain!!

Yeah, the clothing is great. It's a little pricey, but then again it's really good quality. I really like the Kahala brand. The shorts fit me perfectly. awesome

Well, truth be told, the cart was closed, but the Bier booth was open in the main building. However, Big River Brewing is going to get a visit from me very soon I think! awesome

Just got back from a stroll around Boardwalk, Yacht/Beach Clubs and Swan/Dolphin. We're calling it a day. Off to DHS tomorrow for lunch at Sci-Fi and then dinner at Cape May in the evening.

Some shots from our stroll tonight.

Good morning everyone! And it's another beautiful morning here at the Boardwalk. The water is almost completely still.

While I was out on our balcony, the first boat of the day quietly made it's way across the still waters. Then another, and another. They positioned all the boats, then honked their horns to announce they were now ready for service.

P.S. I keep looking at my calendar, trying to find a weekend that I could squeeze in a power trip to WDW....can't wiggle around my other commitments to get there before my Thanksgiving trip. But we just might have to fix that for next year. awesome

Thanks for the compliments everyone, I'm glad you are enjoying the photos! awesome

So, we walked over to DHS this morning and had lunch at the Sci-Fi. We also went on the move ride. Didn't do a full day there and are now back at the resort for a bit. I think we're heading over to Epcot later.

Anyway here are some shots I took from our walk over to DHS and a few hours we were in the park.

So....a few items Ken has left out. We had our first Dole Whip yesterday. Ken had the pineapple and I had the orange/vanilla swirl. Very good - it tasted like a creamsicle. We went on a few rides at MK - Splash Mountain (yes we got soaked!), Big Thunder Mountain (first car, now that was cool), Small World (Ken had never been on it and once is enough), Carousel of Progress and of course the People Mover. It was quite busy there so we left mid afternoon.

Today was HS. We walked there and arrived about 9:30 and went right to get our fast passes for TSM. Then had a quick snack on Sunset Blvd before we went on the GMR. We had an early lunch at the Sci Fi Diner and we enjoyed it - that was our first time there. We both had the fried pickles to start (yum) and then we both had sandwiches. Sorry mrhub, neither one of us had the Picnic Burger. Wondered around some more and stopped to watch Mulch, Sweat & Shears under the hat. It was a little weird as they had a female lead - haven't seen that before. But the music was still great.

Off to Cape May for dinner tonight and hoping to catch Illuminations after. Tomorrow might be a day for AK.

Thanks for all your comments and glad to hear you are enjoying our (mostly Ken's) pictures.

Not too many pics from the rest of yesterday. I decided to leave the "big" camera in our room and headed over to Epcot. These photos are from my iPhone...

First, new duds and suds. Enjoying another Altenmunster while sporting my new clothes from Boutiki. LOL.

The crowds were minimal when we came into the park but even more so once it started raining. I took shelter under a tree.

Then we went on Maelstrom. There was NOBODY in line. We walked right onto the ride.

Day 4 - Daybreak at the Boardwalk

Got up early this morning and went outside with my camera. Again, very peaceful on the Boardwalk at that hour. Just some maintenance crews working and the occasional jogger.

Late to the party but looks like you guys are having a wonderful trip. Some really great pics. Ken give the Schofferhofer grapefruit beer a try if you haven't already. Very light beer but its worth trying at least once.

We haven't had large crowds at HS. TSM has been under 100 minutes lately. The other day it was 75 minutes, then 65 then 60 went back up a little then went down to like 55 minutes. Around 8 it was down to 45 minutes then at 9:30 or so it went down to 5 minutes. On Saturday we only used Stage and Film for parking. We didn't use Music at all.

So, this first stay at a deluxe resort is going extremely well. Now I know what all the fuss is about. One thing I would say about deluxe is that the resort itself becomes part of the vacation rather than just a place to sleep. We love all the activities going on at the Boardwalk. The restaurants, carts, buskers etc. all add to the experience. The little things all add up like a balcony, quiet air conditioning that works very well, soap trays in the bathrooms etc. etc. We've found we prefer the hotel atmosphere vs motel of the moderates. I literally went downstairs last night and grabbed a slice of pizza. This was after we walked over to Epcot for Illuminations. So cool!

I think we'll be doing deluxe again next time either as a regular booking or even DVC. awesome
