King rooms at Pop

I just booked our vacation!! Yes! yay

So it's me and my lovely spouse for our first year anniversary trip. Of course we would love to request one king bed rather than two doubles, but I've heard that in some of the values the king beds are only in accessible rooms. Does anyone know if this is the case at Pop? I'm asking because the few times we've stayed in an accessible room at other places, the bathroom tends to flood when showering because of the lack of barrier in the shower, which is something I'd like to avoid.

Anyone have experience with this?

Congrats on your anniversary! My husband and I just took our first trip to Disney without kids this summer. We stayed at Pop and requested a king. You can request a specific building too. (doesn't mean they will grant it for sure) We requested the 50's building by the front pool. We were in a room on the backside so it was nice and quiet but still close to the front. It had a regular tub with shower. Good luck and have a wonderful trip!!!

Supposedly there are 63 accessible king rooms and 81 regular king rooms at the POP. The percentage of rooms at the value resort having a king bed is probably lower due to the fact that only two people are allowed to stay in those rooms and the value resorts cater more towards families than couples.

To avoid the flooding issue, make sure the water doesn't spray against the shower curtain. You could also use rolled up towels on the floor if all else fails.

Thanks for the tips! We actually had to use a barrier of towels for our broken shower stall in college wink
