On-line Check In

So I just onlined checked in...and I've got to admit...I don't get it.

I still have to check in when I get there? Is my wait shorter or something? Don't get me wrong..I loved doing it because..hello my trip is in ten days! But I still don't get the point.

Anyone ever done this before and see the benefit? Or is the process really that much shorter when I get to the resort?

When you get to the resort, there will be a separate line for those who checked in on-line so you can pick up your key to the world cards. I checked in on-line last year but not the year before. I didn't see much difference in my wait time. I think the benefit depends on how many other people are checking in at the same time.

I was asking the same questions before we went. After just going through it, I think I would do the online check-in again. There weren't huge line-ups for either regular or online when we got there, but I think it took all of 2 minutes to just pick up our package and go. I think it simplified the whole process, and if you want a specific room or something, I think there would be a better chance of getting your choice if you do the online. Otherwise, your special room might already be earmarked for someone else.
