On Line Check In Question

Hey Gang! We are now 55 days away from our arrival at WDW. I got notification that I can check in on-line, but that got me thinking. If there are three families traveling together with different confirmation numbers, but the reservations are linked on MyDisneyExperience, can we do on-line check and still get rooms next to or near each other, or should we wait and check in when we arrive? Thoughts?

Thats a good question, you might want to call guest services for that one. We were never worried about having the rooms next to or close to us with the kids so we never had to deal with that.

Call for that kind of request. They must have a "notes" section for each reservation. I'd still do the online check-in. From what I can tell, packets are made the night before and in the morning - sometimes room numbers are assigned then, but they are not actually reserved until you arrive.

I agree, give them a call and make sure that your group reservations are connected as traveling together, you may each have to do that.

I have taken the wonderful advice from you gals/guys to call POFQ directly. I spoke to a lovely lady who told me we can complete on line check-in and then call 10 days before we arrive to remind them of our reservation request for rooms next to/near by each other. So looks like I'm good to go. Thanks for all of the help!

Wonderful! I've heard conflicting information about how successful people have been with having this request honored. Good to know that at least at POFQ they do their best to accommodate these requests. Did they happen to mention to you about having a "Travel With" number assigned that links your reservations together? I have a friend that was assigned a TW number at POR. They haven't traveled yet, but it's supposed to alert the reservation staff that they should be placed as close together as possible.

She didn't look up my reservation in the system, but she said if we linked the reservations when we made them, it should be in there. I'll double check 10 days out!
