Faves, I guess. Will be our second time at IM, FF, Yachtsman, and Bluezoo. Hoping they are all as good as we remember.

1. Have to find out if the steak at FF is as good as the reviews. Love the crabcakes!
2. Scallops appetizer at Bluezoo gets great reviews, so trying that too.
3. Free glass of limoncello at IM, nice.......cheesecake isn't bad either.
4. At Yachtsman we will have a bottle of Laughing Magpie shiraz, share a steak, and order mushroom caps, carmelized onions, and mac and cheese for sides.

There are so many good and bad reviews for SAI, that we must finally try it for ourselves(margaritas can't be bad right?).

Order a burger at B&C, or do a "dessert only" lunch? I'm thinking "No Way Jose"

FYI, I think you should go end of May next year........ Will be at Beaches and Cream when it opens, to hopefully beat the crowd. As much as I would love to sample it, no way the 2 of us could put a dent in the Kitchen Sink. I am planning on a No Way Jose for lunch and a margarita at La Cava for dessert. laugh

Can't come soon enough. Was snowing when I drove to work this morning, and even though it had all melted by this afternoon, forecast is for rain and 40's all week. Can't wait to complain about the heat and humidity while walking around WS sipping a margarita!!

SNOW??!!! Oh Honey - bless your heart.

I love, love, love all your menu choices and can't WAIT to hear about your experiences. And now that you mentioned limoncello...I believe I'm going to have to go and make some. Sooooo refreshing during these hot FL summers. We keep it in the freezer Smile

I actually prefer a regular/lime margarita, but my next choice would be the Avocado, followed by the Jalapeno.

Arrived at the International gateway around 2 PM yesterday. This past weekend was the World Dance and Cheer competition @ Epcot(pavilion between UK and Canada). Bus arrived at IG at same time, and dropped off the ECB Street Elite hip hop team, dressed as oompa loompas. Watched their performance around 4:30, and it was excellent. Audio from Willy Wonka all through the dance. They took first place. Hope they post the dance on You Tube soon.

Had late lunch at Tokyo Dining. Pam had the Volcano roll and I had the Dynamite roll. Very good!! We both had a Mt. Fuji cocktail(one of my favorites at Epcot)....sorry the pictures from my phone did not turn out. For dinner we shared the chicken shawarma platter@ Tangierine Cafe, which was very tasty. For dessert we shared our first jalapeno pretzel in America, while watching Paul Revere and the Raiders. Will definitely have more of those pretzels.

Headed to Kouzzina for breakfast now........

That should make Bella jump and shout for joy, that is one of her favorite restaurants and meals in Epcot.

Hope you have a great time and don't forget all the updates, we all love them.

Back in the room for a quick nap before Il Mulino @ 5 PM............Sorry guys, there won't be any pictures. Blackberry camera just won't cut it.

Kouzzina breakfast. Seated immediately. We both ordered coffee and a bloody mary. Pam ordered my favorite, Waffles(2) with Whipped Mascarpone Cheese, pecans, and bacon(extra crisp to make Disney bacon edible). I ordered the Blueberry Orange Granola Pancakes, with chicken sausage. We did encounter some service issues, but I would not put total blame on our server. Issue with a table of 8 in our section that had 5 separate checks. Some on DDP, some not, some ordering ala carte........not sure of all the details, but our drinks were late arriving. Then when our food came up, a server that was trying to help out, put my plate on the table next to us, so they were not allowed to serve it to me. Had to wait for another pancake. Not a big deal to us as we were not in a hurry.

When the food finally arrived, it was excellent. How can anything with mascarpone cheese be bad? The pancake covers the entire plate, and I enjoyed it very much, along with the sausage. When we return Thursday I'm ordering the waffles and another bloody mary

Before heading over to Epcot, we stopped in the Boardwalk Bakery to purchase cupcakes for a snack tonight, or breakfast tomorrow. Really wish I had pictures now.....got a PBJ cupcake for $2.29, and a Strawberry Cupcake for $3.99(the Oreo cupcake looked excellent as well. Perhaps later this week)

Got to La Cava del Tequila just as the doors opened, and tried my first Hibiscus Margarita. I would order it again. In Morroco I got a Pina Colada, and at Rose and Crown an English Rose(too hot out for beer). Time to rest up for dinner and Off Kilter. Will probably check out the new band in the UK too.

Thought it was like a regular lime margarita, but very smooth. Not tart.

IL Mulino: Nice thing about dining early, is having the full attention of your servers. Basically had the dining room to ourselves. First they serve complimentary amuse bouche, eggplant and salami. Bread basket consisted of spicy focaccia(spicy good) and chiabatta. For her entree, Pam chose the Gamberi Francese, which is jumbo shrimp egg battered and sauteed, served with white wine lemon sauce. She declared it to be best entree she has had at Disney. I ordered the Veal Parmigiana, which covered the plate. Tender with the right amount of sauce and cheese. These dishes do not come with pasta, but you can purchase a half order of any pasta on the menu, if need be. Complimentary limoncello after dinner. Too full for dessert, so we requested two cheesecakes to go, and dropped them back at the room before walking over to Epcot. Great food and service!!

(added Il Mulino @ 1:13 pm on 5-3-11)

Was this at Il Mulino? We love that place! Also, I'm a big fan of La Cava del Tequila. Have you tried the margarita flight?

I'm sorry, yes it was Il Mulino. We stopped at La Cava again last night, so Pam could try the tequila liqueur flight, but the bar area was packed, so we will try another time. I could be mistaken, but thought I read recently that they discontinued the margarita flight. I will ask before we leave Friday.

Also, tried another hibiscus today after lunch and it was definitely sweeter than the one I had yesterday.

The English Rose: Beefeater Gin, apricot brandy, sweet vermouth, pineapple, orange & cranberry juice....quite refreshing actually, and we get some vitamin C

I tried the Jalapeno margarita a year and a half ago, but can only recall that it was not hot/spicy. Always willing to take one for the team, so I will try one again today wink

WS drinks I enjoy:

Mt. Fuji from Tokyo Dining is a favorite. Wish you could purchase one outside too.

Canto Loopy from the China Tea stand - cantalope juice and a good pour of vodka

English Rose or Welsh Dragon from the Rose and Crown

Pina Colada and Moroccarita in Morocco........tangerine and daquiri slushes are too sweet for me

Slushie from the beer stand in Germany......apricot brandy and lemonade

I can only drink about half of a gingerita or Italian Margarita, before the ginger and lemon get to be too much

Black and Tan from the Rose and Crown is my favorite beer. Always have liked Bass Ale. Kirin in Japan is best bang for your buck.......I drink Bud at home, and two years ago I could get a 12 oz bottle in the Morocco coffee shop for $4.25. Current price is $5.99.......they need to serve Tusker beer in WS!!

Possible that I have a drinking problem

San Angel Inn lunch.........seated right at 11:30. It really is hard to read a menu in there, but I guess that is why they invented cell phones. Server brought out the chips and advised us that the salsa was spicy. I like my salsa hotter, and didn't really care for the the smoky flavor, so I ordered a side of guacamole. The guac was perfect, fresh with a bit of a kick to it. Pam had the regular margarita on the rocks, and I got the Avocado. Not possible to have too much avocado with a meal.

Pam decided on the Pollo a las Rajas. The chicken was tender with a nice grilled flavor. I got the enchiladas verdes con pollo, which came with rice and beans. Nothing special, but was exactly what I hoped it would be. We both now prefer San Angel to La Hacienda. Loved the dark, quiet atmosphere, and would return again for the early lunch seating.

With respect to the common complaint of tables being close together, we were fortunate not to have anyone seated next to us until I had rcvd the bill. I think it would be next to impossible to have a private conversation unless you were seated at a table on the perimeter.

GREAT details! Thanks for the rundown on the English Rose. And I, too, LOVE a Black and Tan, and Rose&Crown is the best place to drink it.

Re: the jalepeno margarita, I'm intrigued. I love the flavor (not just the heat) of jalepenos, so I'll have to give it a try. If you're so inclined, try the cucumber margarita. It's fantastic. I hope you like the rim of your glass salted, because the lemongrass-chili salt on that when MAKES the drink imo.

Officially, cucumber has replaced avocado as my favorite margarita(and way fewer calories). Stopped in the Rose and Crown to cool off with a couple Black and Tans too. Fortunate to get a table to stand at on the side. Purchased Welsh Dragon and Irish Rose before we left to watch OFF Kilter.

We really like the group that replaced the British Invasion this week(The English Channel) a lot more energy:
