Bad news. Seems as though the Monsters Inc. prequal has been push back six months from November 2nd, 2012 to June 21st, 2013. The reason for its push to the following year has not been revealed but one thing that has been revealed is the new logo.

Development on Disney*Pixar's Monsters, Inc prequel is speeding along with the recent reveal of the title, Monsters University, confirmation that Dan Scanlon is directing and now, thanks to The Pixar Blog, a first look at the film's logo.According to the site, the below image was registered with the United State Patent and Trademark Office just over a week ago.
John Goodman and Billy Crystal will return as the voices of Sulley and Mike. The film will show how they first met at Monsters University and despite their differences became good friends.
