Most Relaxing "Rides"
I know it seems counter-intuitive but I consider many of the rides actually quite relaxing places to go get some AC and relax. For example, when I'm stressed out I'll often go over to Pirates of the Carribean. It's nice and cool and the wait is usually short. Plus it's fairly long so you get to just kind of sit and chill and see your old "friends."
What rides do you guys like to chill on?

Gotta be the TTA! PotC is good too. They're not as good for sleeping or resting, but they have more visual interest. I guess it depends on if you're looking to basically catnap or just kind of kick back but still have fun. The EPCOT movies are great for basically sleeping!

Why did I think Impressions de France was a stand-up thing?
My picks would be El Rio del Tiempo and any of the 3D movies (except Tough to be a Bug, because they poke you and what not.)

It's in a nice sit down theater! Not as big as the American Adventure but still very comfortable.
The theaters in the Canada and China pavillions feature full Circlevision films and have those leaners in place on the floor.

I've never been there at Christmas time, so here's hoping for this year!

So cozy and romantic. Especially the villas. you'll love it. I hope you guys get to stay there. Are you waitlisted or is it just too early to book?
It's too early to book, since if it's not your home resort there is the seven month rule. We've got AKV booked and then in May we'll pull the old switcheroo!

I just heard from DVC yesterday that they moved up the proposed opening to this August.
Probably quite "expensive" though.
What are the point differences between AKV and Bay Lake Tower? I'd think both would be a draw, but that Magic Kingdom proximity might make BLT the most attractive. (Ha! "BLT." That's funny.)

BLT is more expensive.
For example, BLT, during Adventure Season (DVC's version of value season) will cost you 202 points for a standard view 1BR.
At AKV Kidani Village will cost you 171 points for the same room type, same view, same week.
For roughly the same amount of points as a standard view at BLT, with everything else being equal, you could get a savannah view at AKV.
It's interesting to note that owners at AKV pay higher maintenance fees than owners at BLT. This is to maintain the savannah among other things.
