Narrowed Down to Two

All right, thanks to the subtle "reminders" from folks on the Help us choose where to stay thread, we spent some time this weekend narrowing our choices down to two:

WL for 10 nights
CBR for 4 nights and Poly (Garden View) for 6 nights

In a surprising turn of events, DW is leaning toward WL--she doesn't want to move mid-week. I'm pushing for Poly, as it would be a new resort for us, and it's on the Monorail.

Anyone know Disney's policy on moving luggage? Do they make it pretty hands-free?

Moving from one hotel to another is usually pretty simple for us as we just throw things in suitcases and bags for quick moving. Doesn't have to be perfect for flights, etc. I can spend 15 minutes the night before and another 10-15 the morning of and be ready for a move. Take some bags and put all the bathroom stuff together, etc., and then just set it down once you get to the Poly.

As for moving the luggage, I don't know that Disney has an official policy, but I've heard of people who got their luggage moved fairly easily by the staff. I'd call the bell desk at the CBR and see what they can do for you. It might help your wife decide. (Im thinking my dad got them to move him from one of the All Stars once to Old Key West, but I'm not sure of the details.)

Hold out for the Poly. Even if it takes you a couple of extra hours to move and get settled, you'll have SIX NIGHTS AT THE POLYNESIAN to get over it!!! yay

We've always had an easy go of luggage transfer. Just let Bell Services know at CBR that you'll be checking into the Poly that day; they'll transfer the luggage, and as soon as you're in your room at the Poly, simply call and have Poly Bell Services bring the luggage to your room.

Even if you move it yourself, it's not that big of a deal. You'll only be in CBR for four days, so just try not to "unpack all the way." Besides I want to be able to stay in the Poly, at least vicariously!

I'm not fond of moving mid-trip either, but I'd sure hate to miss a Poly opportunity for a little "moving inconvenience".

Trust me, the memories will MORE than make up for a bit of moving.

Multiple times, although its been a while. It has always been my favorite resort at WDW.

i have always thought of that as the most disney of the disney resorts. i'm not sure why. i have never gotten to stay at any of the monorail resorts, but if my long lost uncle leaves me a fortune one day, that's where i'm going.

I think you should try a new resort. We have no doubt you guys will do WL again, so you might as well get the Poly in and see if you like it as much.

Thanks, all. That's really helpful info. DW and I have been texting back and forth for the past few days with pros and cons. We want to nail this down soon, but it'll probably be the CBR Poly combo.
