New Game! "Have you ever..."

New Game! "Have you ever..."

OK -- here's a game I just thought up that might be fun! The first poster completes the sentence, "Have you ever...," and the following poster answers the question posed by the first poster (feel free to give a story about the time you did or didn't do whatever the "thing" is) and posts another "Have you ever..." question for the next poster, who then does the same thing.

Does that makes sense? I'll start!

Yes! Patrick Duffy! Lol, on my Grad Night trip in 1999 he was there shooting some sort of commercial for Disney. I also saw them shooting one of the vacation planning videos a few years ago (You may remember it was the one with Luke who loved rollercoasters dude!)

Have you ever..had a hangover at Disney?

yes! my first trip to WDW... I went with a Disney Store Conference, and since the company was paying, I had extra cash. So my friend brought her family, and for some reason, I thought I'd try to outdrink her husband at Pleasure Island. Ummm.. yeah. THAT didnt work out too well...

Nope! I'm not really a complainer anyway, but even if I was I've never really been given a reason to!

Yes! It's been documented here...but last year, my family got together and surprised my Mom with a visit to Grand Floridian for her 60th...and since she couldn't bear to go all by her lonesome...guess who got to go with? mickey We had a grand time! We were upgraded to club level, had afternoon tea, and spent a (very chilly but gorgeous) day in MK!

When we've gone in bigger groups than 2 we've all decided we need some time alone, but I've never ditched DW! Smile

Not that I can think of.... but I've had the reverse happen a LOT. Cinderella's Royal Table for one -- horrible the first time, great the second!

Oh yes, Body Wars made me super car sick. I didn't "get sick", but I was green for 2 hours and sat on a park bench at the exit the whole time staring forward, not moving. My friends got me a soda to sip on and kept checking on me, I was always still sick. While sitting there two older ladies were waiting for their grandkids, one said to the other, "I hope they are safe on there." The other said, "I know, people seem to come off a bit sick to their stomachs". The first said, "No, not from the motion, from the Radiation it emits". It was so hard stopping myself from laughing while feeling so sick.

So... Have you ever... heard a really random, strange or funny statement from a guest?

Yes! At Hollywood Studios my husband had just taken a picture of me beside the snowman and I had held myself like I was really really cold. A passing dad said to us "That's a great idea!", then he said in an aggressive voice to his little son, "Now get over there and look cold!"

Yes in Epcot, during year of a million dreams. Two Cm's that were off duty riding rides decided to leave and gave us there pass books, still had several fastpasses in them, they were ones they were giving away to guest. Could use them on any ride. That was great!

No..but I did leave almost my entire wardrobe at POP once..seriously we overslept and we were in such a hurry to leave before checkout we threw everything in bags and then about 2 weeks later we got a call from POP Century saying we'd left a bunch of stuff there and they'd mail it back. When the package came it was HUGE and it was about 3 pairs of jeans and sweatshirts and a lot of t-shirts. How we missed packing that AND didn't realize they were gone..that means we have too much clothing.

Have you ever...showed up for an ADR and Disney got all your info wrong?

No, luckily! But I also check and re-check and confirm about 60 gazillion times (ok, maybe 3) before we leave.

No, but a friend who was sat next to me was 'that guy' on MILF once and another friend was flirted with by the singer in Mulch, Sweat and Shears and he went to the person stood behind her at the last minute.

Yes we had a standard view at the WL. When we opened the door someone eles's luggage was in there. We were quickly upgraded to a pool view.

Yes! DW lost a jacket (we think in Epcot), and when she called lost and found a few weeks later they had it and sent it back. Great service!

Yes! Several times! We tend to go to the TTA for shelter. I love getting caught in downpours - especially when we can just go to the Contemporary to change afterwards!

(I got "ankled" by a wheelchair pusher at Spaceship Earth.. had giant lumpy bruises for the rest of my trip! when the Lady hit me the first time I said.. Ow! and turned back at her and asked her to stop.. she didnt speak english and so even me crying out in pain didnt stop her from hitting me a 2nd time when I turned around again! I guess she was just that excited to get her friend in the chair on the ride)

Sort of...when I was a kid when I went to a park with my friend we would entertain ourselves in the queues by talking to each other in...not actually a real 'other language', it was just nonsense...and listen to the people in the queue behind us (who would think we didn't speak English) talking about us trying to work out what language we were speaking. It was funny (to 10 year old us) to hear them argue over whether we were DEFINITELY speaking Spanish or not.

This is a general thing you can do in Florida rather than Disney...although I've heard you can see it happening from Disney.......but....have you ever seen a rocket launch?
