Newbie from Chicago!

Hi everyone! I've been reading this forum for awhile now and it has immensely helped in planning my honeymoon that is in 3 weeks! So i thought I would finally join and start posting.

I haven't been to WDW in 15 years and my fiance hasn't been there since he was 5, and at that time he only went to the magic kingdom!! We are both beyond excited!

Wow! Congratulations and welcome! I'm so glad we were helpful in aiding you in your plans. Have you made your ADRs yet? Will you be staying on property? What are you most looking forward to?

You have picked one of the absolute BEST times to be in the World! I hope you share your experiences when you get home. mickey

Hi Lizzy_B!!

We get to WDW on Sunday Oct. 30th. We have arranged for a towncar to pick us up at the airport. We are spending our first night at AKL in a suite overlooking the savannah. We have made an ADR for that night at Jiko! The rest of the trip we are staying at Port Orleans Riverside. We have a breakfast reservation for Chef Mickeys and another dinner reservation at Shulas (Fiances pick). We have a 5 day park hopper and we plan to spend one day at Universal. I have a friend who works for NBC/Universal so we scored us some free passes. We leave on November 5th and a late flight so we have that day as well.

We still haven't decided if we are going to do MNSSHP. I would like too, but we may play it by ear and buy tickets the day of for the November 1st party.

Congratulations! My husband and I went to WDW for our honeymoon back in March 2009. We had an amazing time. Make sure when you check in at your resort that you remind them it is your honeymoon. They'll give you a button that says "just married" and if you wear it around, you'll get the best seats on rides, great seats at the shows, and maybe even a free snack here and there. Plus, every cast member who sees the button will congratulate you, which for us made it even more special! We stayed at Port Orleans FQ and love it. You are going to have so much fun!

Wow wow wow! What an amazing trip you are going to have! You've managed to hit on some of my very favorite restaurants! I'm soooo excited for you!

Kris is absolutely right - wear those buttons or bride/groom ears everywhere Smile

The concensus here would be for you to do MNSSHP for sure - and it shouldn't be so crazy after Halloween. But I spose it comes down to what you'd like the experience to be. If you're going for romance, you might ditch it for another night at Epcot, or hanging out at the Poly in a hammock.

OH - and you'll also be there for Food and Wine Fest at Epcot, so that's exciting, too! That's great about the Universal passes as well. We'll be anxious to hear your impressions of WWOHP...lots of Potter fans here as well. Smile

Congrats again!

I am a halloween nut!! hence why our wedding is the weekend of halloween.....I really want to do it. I think I have talked Ed into going. Especially since it will be, from what i have heard, a great time to see the magic kingdom.

congrats and welcome I am sure you will love it here at WDWFG and you will love your experience at WDW. You picked a great time to go. In fact it is such a great time that we will be there at the SAME time. clapping You will just muchlove Shula,s, in fact it is my absolute favorite rest. in the WDW empire. The others are correct, wear your pins, they may just result in some unexpected surprises for you both. If you have ANYother questions ask away and rest assured that food is a large part of our forum, which by the way is simply the BEST Disney forum going (just ask any of our members).

Welcome and Congrats!

How exciting for you, you're going to have a fantastic time! Sounds like you have some great ADRs, great hotels and a touring plan!! All I can do is echo what other people have said, wear those "Just Married" ears and buttons, let the hostess at all the restaurants and at the hotel know that you're on your honeymoon. You might be treated to a few surprises!

I'm a HUGE fan of MNSSHP, so if you're a Halloween fan too you'll love it! My husband (aka Grumpy) even had a blast, the parade and fireworks show are full of Disney Villains for a spooktacularly good time! And you'll never see the Haunted Mansion Cast looking quite as grim.

Most of all have fun!

Congrats and welcome! You will have a wonderful time and making a beautiful memory. Port Orleans Riverside is gorgeous! You picked a great resort. Very romantic. They have a horse-drawn carriage ride you can take around the resort.

Welcome welcome! We honeymooned in Disney in 2006 (actually I was leaving for my honeymoon TODAY 5 years ago!)

You will have such an amazing time! We've stayed at AKL and POR before and they were both wonderful. I'll pipe in with another vote for MNSSHP..especially if you are a Halloween nut..it's a given!!
