What's swine flu?!? I had no idea there were pigs at Disney Wink

And, YES, you're supposed to go to Disney! (How's your toe?)

My toe hurts, it is indeed fractured but at least it's just my pinky toe!

I'm guessing you're pretty unlikely to get Swine Flu whether you stay or go to WDW. I might avoid Mexico though!

Just seems so ironic that here is ANOTHER 'issue' before we go!

Yeah, I'm a little concerned, too, and am monitoring the situation but don't expect there will be any need to cancel my trip. Unless things get a LOT worse really fast.

Yikes! I have cause to worry about two of those places!

From what I've read, almost all of the US cases have recovered.

How does one KNOW if one has swine flu...? yuck

Wow, Gray--that's coming up quickly! You must be so excited. How's the anxiety about getting everything done coming along?

It's mostly gone. I just needed to remember that a vacation is supposed to be relaxing. We've had a couple of very nice, Florida-like days recently, and I was soooo happy just being outside in the nice weather! I realized I'll be happy just to be there with days like that. Whatever rides I can ride and shows I can do is just frosting on the cake. Thanks for asking.

If you do, do NOT walk into your neighborhood bank. eek Seriously I guess it is spiraling out rather quickly.

Just an FYI: the "reported case" in Orlando is false, says Orlando Sentinel:

For now they have closed down the school for at least a week and quarantined the kid. All kids at that school were given a number to call if they developed a fever. The kid's family is being tested, but none of them seem to have it.

It's good that we are tracking and trying to stop this strain before it spreads too far but an average of 20,000 people a year die from the other types of flu. So don't get panicked, you are 20,000 times more likely to die from another type of flu than this one.

Just Go to the Doctor if you get sick, don't try to tough it out.

Yeah people seem to only have two mode: Panic, or ignore. I think this falls in "something you should be aware of but not worry too much about." Sadly we don't seem to have that mode.

Therapy helped me with that problem. Now when I worry about something I have a evaluation system to see if it is really a threat.
