Obscure Disney Quotes

Continuing on my Disney related game theme, I thought we'd play "Identify The Quote." Basically pick a weird quote from a movie or ride or something Disney related. Once someone identifies it they can present the next one. To start things off:

"That's a piecrust promise. Easily made, easily broken."

THAT, my friend, is from Mary Poppins.

How about, "Always let your conscience be your guide."

That's easy! Jiminy Cricket from Pinnochio. Although I always associate him with all the little after and during school programming Disney did when I was young.

How about this one:

"Rap on a table, it's time to respond, send us a message from somewhere beyond."

I've been waiting for someone else to get this one. Maybe no-one wants to come up with a quote?

It's from Haunted Mansion (The Ride).

"Three wishes I'll grant you great or small,
but wish a fourth and loose them all!"

(I think that's right)

That, my friend, is from Splash Mountain (at least it's hanging on the wall in the queue line)!

Here's mine: "Paging Mr. Morrow. Mr. Tom Morrow."

Since apogee and perigee refer to closest to and farthest from earth distances of celestial bodies, could that be Mission to Mars or Horizons?

"It's the wildest ride in the wilderness".

Oh man!!! Darby is definitely one of my favorite Disney flicks! You've just GOTTA run down to the video store and rent a copy of this. Get it on DVD, though, so you can see the extras. Walt did a really great promo for this one where he talked about the Disney movie making guys working with King Brian and his ilk to get the movie made.

What a genius Walt was.... make a deal with ABC to do a weekly show for them. They give you money to finance your dream and you turn the weekly show into a preview/commercial for all the stuff you're putting in the parks and doing in the theater and all that. Wow - what a genius!

And besides, Sean O'Connery was rather hot in Darby, I'd have to say. Hey! I can look right?

I thought the "Filigree, apogee, pedigree, perigee" was from Bedknobs and Broomsticks? Maybe I'm wrong?

Maybe we should wait for the poster of the quote to let us know whether or not we got it right before we go on to the next one?

Or maybe I should just shut up and play the game? muchlove

laugh Yes, Maam!!!

I really am a total loser with live action Disney stuff. I'm often criticized for loving the theme parks more than I love TRUE DISNEY wink

I'm sure they'll get corrected if anyone gets some wrong and that way we get to keep going! But that's a great movie (Bedknobs and Broomsticks) "Traguna Mccoydees and Trecorum Saintes Dee!" I'm sure I spelled every one of those wrong!)

Sorry... tried to trim the quote to just the relevant part but the editor won't seem to let me do it.

Those that give you static about the "true Disney" just don't get it, IMO. That's one of the beauties of Disney is that there are soooo many facets and sooooo many layers and there's something for everyone - movie buffs, park buffs -- everyone! If the give you that static again, just remind them that early in his career Walt's focus was on the animated movies. Then he got into the live action stuff and was thoroughly and childishly (in a good way) enchanted with that. Later in his career it was the parks that captured his fascination. So you're a "true Disney" lover... just of a later segment of his life.

You spelled Maelstrom right! Great ride.

Marzyar's quote is from Peter Pan (the movie...and also possibly from Philharmagic?)

Zapperz is from Primeval Whirl???

Let's see...

"...in tonight's episode, you are the star."

@Imagineer--how did you know that was from Splash Mtn?!?!

Carousel of progress. (Love that Attraction)

Ok, Hmm, Need a good one... Try this one...

You have no money, sir. And that means we're going to have to say good-bye. However, we want to thank you for coming here today, and we do have some lovely parting gifts for you backstage.

This is from Ellen's Energy Adventure, I believe.

Here's one from a movie that I believe the internet is looking for right now:

"Rule One: No mineral or vegetable, only animals. Rule Two: No
make-believe things like, ooh, pink dragons and stuff. Now, Rule Three:
No disappearing."
