Yes very good idea, Congrats! We never did Chef Mickey for dinner but you can never go wrong with Ohana's. The music, the tiki torches, the South Sea vibe, we love it there! Make sure to have you batteries charged in your camera, and empty bellies, you will need them.

I've never been to Ohana but have been to Chef Mickey's. From my experience at Chef Mickey's and what I've heard about Ohana, you made the right choice.

I think you'll be so happy! We have only done Chef Mickey's once, mainly for our son and it was okay.

Here's a few posts from the Disney Food Blog about 'Ohana!

Ohana is delicious....It's an all you can eat buffet which is served family style....meaning there is just one standard menu and they bring everything to the table for you. They have a great salad with a tropical type vinagarette on it. They have noodles that are kind of like lo mein noodles, chicken, steak, and shrimp skewers, and the best bread pudding ever....I loved it and I usually don't like bread pudding. They have some other things but I can't remember exactly what so here's the menu for ya.

Thank you all... I did see they bring skewers of meat right over to your table. We have done that type of thing before and loved it. So I think it will I will not regret the decision at all. It is a 9:30pm reservation, but we are night owls anyway, so it shouldn't be an issue. Thanks for all the feedback!!!

nwalsh, you may be able to catch the fireworks from the beach at the Poly before you eat dinner! Not sure what time they are in May, I'll have to check.

Okay wishes is at 10pm that week, so maybe you will get a good window seat.

When we went a couple of weeks ago, we sat down right before Wishes began and had a window seat. They dim the lights and pipe in the music for Wishes... its amazing!!! Y'all will really enjoy it!

Great switch! I'm not a fan of Chef Mickey's at all but I really enjoyed my dinner at Ohana last month. Great Food, Great Castle View, Greta Cocktails, Lots of fun. Total win!

I would pretty much take 'Ohana over Chef Mickey's 100% of the time. Good move in my opinion!
