Poly Views

Greetings all.

I am getting ready to make our reservations this coming week and want some advice from all you frequent mousers. We don't think we can afford the extra money to have a "view" at the polynesian. Originally we were going to spring for the honeymoon suite, but after doing some calculations decided we would save a couple thousand by staying in a regular room (and that couple thousand is DEFINATELY needed to be put towards the wedding) . . so can I request a view within the cost frame? It says that the garden view price level can view the marina, the pool, the garden, and/or the parking lot. I want some kind of a view, so I don't really want to be looking at the parking lot . . . and while the pool is amazing looking, not sure I want to be that close to the pool either . . so I was hoping for a garden view or a marina view . . can i get something like that in advance or is it more luck of the draw when we get there with a request? Which view would you say is best? Do any of the rooms have a balcony or patio . . or is that only the more expensive rooms?

Thanks from a Polynesian virgin!

I think you would be fine to book the garden view. I had to really think about how you would be looking at the parking lot and there are not many rooms that would do that. Also it does not seem to me like the pool view rooms are all that close to the pool either. I do believe all of the rooms have either a patio or a balcony or at least all the ones we have stayed in have.

I think the best view is either the garden view or the them park view. The theme park view cost more though.

Someone who knows better can confirm, but I THINK the garden/pool views are a little extra. I would suspect if you pay the extra you're locked in to that type of room.

The garden view is the cheapest. I am not sure if you reguest a certain type of garden view if the price is higher or not. From the garden view you jump up to the lagoon view and then the theme park view.

Does Garden View include the possibility of a parking lot?

Should have known I was probably confused! I bet the fact that she'll be on her honeymoon will work in her favor too.

You can definitely request a marina or "greenery" view if you book the garden view. I'm almost sure that if you book it and make a special request on your reservation and when you check in you'll be given one of the better garden view rooms. Especially on your honeymoon!

Thanks for all the info guys!! We have decided to go with the garden view and request a "greenery" view with the free dining plan upgraded to deluxe. Now all that is left is to call and make the reservation. Even though it is still a year away, I am so excited to know that I am going back to Disney!! HOORAY! clapping
