Pre-Shows: love 'em or hate 'em

The pre-shows (for Test Track, RnRC, ToT, Dinosaur, Soarin', M:S, etc.) are clever. And I get why they're there: inform guests of the story of the ride, give them something to do during those last few minutes of waiting to get on, inform them of safety information, blah blah blah.

But they get really BORING after a while waiting

I wish there was a "no pre-show line" you could get in if you can prove you've already seen it before. laugh

I think for me it goes on a case by case basis. Some are boring and do seem to go on forever, while others are short and kind of fun. I really like the one for Soarin', with Patrick Warburton playing the role of his typical cornball self. silly

I think the worst is that endless Kodak commercial in front of Honey I Shrunk the Audience. The Mission:Space one, while neccasary I guess, and while well played by Gary Sinise, tends to drag as well.

I'm pretty tired of them, myself. I know that just means I'm lucky to have the chance to go so often that I CAN get tired of them, though!

There should be another option in the vote. "Beats standing in line". Because unless it's a really slow day at the park the pre-shows are set up in areas you would be waiting anyway. So I like em because it gives me something to do.

The exception is Honey I Shrunk the Audience. I am getting REALLY SICK of that one.

I went with hate, although some I can endure. But the worst ones are AWFUL. I particularly get annoyed when I'm doing DINOSAUR and I have to watch the unfunny intro...I'm not that excited about riding the ride in the first place, and I'm really not that pumped about watching Mrs. Huxtable lay down the law.

I wish you could take a quiz and then skip them if you could pass it. I don't mind seeing them every once in a while, but when I get there early and I have to eat up 5 minutes of my RnRC time watching bad acting by Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, it gets a bit frustrating. Most of the time it doesn't matter, because there's just going to be a line on the other side, but sometimes it really bugs me.

I always thought there should be a way to bypass them. Especially ones like the RnRC or ToT that I like to ride more than once a trip, the redundancy can get quite annoying!

What a great idea. You should write a few and see if we can pass 'em.

Test Track:
What's the "you pick one" option when she's putting together the road tests? eek

Dinosaur:
You must return to the present time before a significant event occurs...what is that event?

RnRC: What item does Joe Perry ask to have brought to the venue?

ToT: Who are the four characters in the elevator?

At Marzyar's suggestion, I've tried my hand at starting a Pre Show Trivia Game.

Hopefully someone will like my game!
