Random question about roommates.

Sorry guys, I know this isn't Disney related (ok, well it kinda is...)

but as you guys know, I got hired at WDW and I'm moving down next week.

well, I probably can't afford a 1 bedroom, so I'm looking for a roommate to find a 2 bedroom with.

Does anyone know any sites where I could find a roommate that isn't just weird? I've posted on Craigslist, Roommates.com, and Roomster.com...and either no one emails me back, or only scammers/people I don't want to even meet/people who refuse to live with a cat email me back.

So I was just wondering if anyone else has had any luck with another site for finding roommates? I'm at my wit's end trying to find someone...

Well after you're hired and get all your proxies you will have access to the HUB. It's for cm's only and they have a classified section on there... I'm sure you'd find someone there. Or google cast forums and post on a forum where other cast members are. Hope this helps:-)

Well, this is a no help what-so-ever post but...
OMG, I wish I could send my 19 year old to go and live with you. She would love to get a job a Disney. She's not quite ready to leave the nest yet though as she's still not driving.

yea, I know about the classified section on the HUB (I'm a former CP)...I just cant get on there and I'd like to have a place before I start work...but if it means I have to stay in a hotel an extra week until I can find someone compatible, I will.

I think I'm gonna try to get friends who already work there to look and see if they can find any girls that need roommates.

This is going to be no help whatsoever....I've never had to have a room mate so I wouldn't even know where to start....but I just want to say be safe....there are definately very strange people out there and I feel like in this day and age it's hard to trust anyone you don't know especially when saying you are going to room with them

thanks Jess. That really seems to be the major problem here. I can't find anyone who seems like they aren't just scammers. Or they are weird and I'm pretty sure not giving out their real names. ugh! this is just so frustrating.

well... my little sister from sorority just started as a cast member today and she might be looking for a roommate??? I can ask her if you want?

Definitely! ...if shes not on the College Program because they have their own housing and they get assigned roommates.

She said she is living in Disney Housing, Chatham Square... and she just found out she is working on the Safari Ride at AK!

I seriously am wondering if you are still looking for a roommate. I just got a job at Walt Disney World, and I am moving down the first week in February. I am having the SAME TROUBLE looking for someone to live with, it is so frustrating, and scary not having a place to liv

No she is not, that post was over 2 years ago. There are some other CM's on here though that may be able to help you. They will answer up I'm sure. Good luck and welcome to WDWForGrownups! Make sure you make a post on the Introduce yourself thread and tell us a little about yourself.

My daughter is also looking to move to Orlando and is looking for up to 2 roommates to keep expenses down. She is under 21 so - looking for non-drinkers/non-smokers.

I'm going to Florida for my cast member interview next week and i'll admit i'm going down there completely broke, but Disney is my dream and this is my chance to go so... my question is this, is there anyone living down there already (preferably female like me) that is needing a roommate? I don't smoke, have no pets (although i don't mind if you do) and i'm 26, don't party or anything like that, in fact i'm pretty quiet. As it stands right now i'll probably be living in my car lol....so if your interested heres my email
