Restaurants that are improving OR going downhill?

We've had discussion about 'Ohana going a bit downhill lately, and Portobello Yacht Club improving. Does anyone have any other examples? It could really help with our trip planning. Thanks! mickey

I understand 50's Prime Time got rid of their herb cheese (can anyone confirm?). If so they've gone WAY downhill in my book. That was the whole reason we went.

I'm afraid I don't go to the restaurants enough to confirm that any are going up or downhill, but I will say that Rose and Crown has been sliding down our "must-do" dining list.

We used to make sure we had an ADR there every trip, but the crowds are keeping us away recently. We just don't have the stamina for that line around the block each evening to check in, coupled with the general aura of competition for those patio tables!

Maybe we should try for an early lunch when they first open.

They did, indeed, get rid of the herb cheese. We were slightly annoyed by that as well!

I'm also not a big fan of Big River Grille and Brewing Works, Artist Point (anymore), San Angel Inn, and Rainforest Cafe. Restaurants that are climbing up my list are Teppan Edo, Nine Dragons (though I'm FAR from knowledgable about Chinese cuisine), Tusker House, and Calfornia Grill.

I've never had breakfast there. Is it family style? And is Mickey always there?

I think Mickey waffles taste about 10 times better than other Disney world waffles. Which is strange, because they must be made with the same mix...

I think that's a great idea. We've had the opportunity to do lunch at Rose and Crown, and sitting on the patio with a beautiful view of the lagoon is really nice.

Thanks for the info. It really is a nice restaurant, we just can't handle those Illuminations crowds anymore.

We'll take a shot at lunch. mickey
