Did you get the wisdom teeth out too Kristen? Glad it went well!

No - the corporate office wouldn't approve its removal gratis so the wisdom tooth is still in there. I've never had any trouble with it in the past, and the surgeon said that he didn't damage it. There's actually a small chance that it will just slide right into one of the sockets of the tooth that was pulled and I'll have a chewing surface again. That would be the best case scenario, but I'm not supposed to count on it. The wisdom tooth is whole and facing in the appropriate direction though so we're just going to wait and see.

That is awesome and amazing!!! yay yay yay yay

One of my favorite parts of my job is when someone is really having serious vision issues and the doc sees them no charge. Sometimes he writes it on the chart and doesn't tell them and when they come up to ask their charge for the day I get to say NOTHING!!!!

Glad it all went well!

awwww I do feel your pain, I have a broken tooth that has been broken about a year cause it needs root canal and fixing and i'm too bloody chicken to get it fixed! sending lots of happy Disney thoughts your way xxx

I had a root canal a couple of years ago. I was a nervous wreck because of all the stories I heard. After it was done, I thought to myself "that was it". It wasn't bad at all. Get it taken care of.

Agreed. You hear all those horror stories about root canals, but really, they're no big deal at all. I've had two. Never felt a thing during either procedure, and then pain meds took care of it after the fact. And then a day later, I didn't even need the pain meds.

That happened to me after a tooth extraction. The second molar from the back on the upper left had to go. I had a gap there for a while, and then a wisdom tooth slowly came down (it hadn't yet), pushed the back tooth forward, and between the two of them they filled the gap quite nicely. So best wishes for your wisdom tooth. And happy to hear your dental nightmare wasn't one after all.

Oh my goodness that's awesome!

My back and second from the back upper left are what were pulled - so I've got lots of room for that wisdom tooth to come on down and make itself a useful home.

Kristen I am so glad that everything went well. Like I said yesterday all of us have our dental horror stories and I am glad that the oral surgeon was able to give you sedation.
