What are everyone's thoughts on this ride? Worth the wait?

I was unimpressed.
Yep--didn't love it. I DO like that you get to go into a room all by yourself before you get into your ride vehicle. It's a different loading procedure than any other ride I've been on--gives it a cool kind of "what's going to happen next!" feeling.

I'm a HUGE Simpsons fan, but haven't been Universal in years. The last time I went I was so disappointed with the quality of the rides (especially since they actually took out the best ride they'd ever had - Back to the Future) that I said I wouldn't go back until Harry Potter World is ready. One ride that I really want to try isn't enough to get me there....
Zipadeedoodah -- yeah, man

What was the Back to the Future Ride like?

What was the Back to the Future Ride like?
Picture Star Tours in front of an IMAX screen in a DeLorean with a better and longer movie, and you'll get the general idea...

That sounds pretty cool. Any idea why they took it out?
I actually thought the Simpsons ride was kind of fun. I'm not huge on simulator rides though so it can only be so fun.
I'm also curious about the Back to the Future ride. Sounds like a blast.
Reviving and old thread (sorry folk, I'm slowly working my way through the archives.)
The Back to the future ride was closed because the buildings and ride vehicles have been used to create the Simpsons ride. Aparently not much was changed apart from the decoration and the movie.
I thought the Simpsons ride was quite fun, but it can be a bit rough and I wouldn't worry if I missed it on a future trip.
I can only please one person per day. Today isn't your day... tomorrow doesn't look good either.
Thanks for the info, Tony. I haven't gotten back to try it yet, so your review is still useful to me! Since starting the topic, I've heard mostly "thumbs down" comments about the Simpson's ride. Mostly: if you love the show, go ahead and ride, but if you don't, you can skip it.
