I know it was supposed to begin on 4/19 - anyone know if it actually has?

We're upset it won't be open when we go in August - it's one of our favorites! Just as bad -- the TTA being down knocks off one of our favorite escapes during the inevitable August rain storms!

Did you book your trip before the news came out?

Yeah -- not that we had much choice - this is our honeymoon - couldn't very well justify a change because of Space Mountain!

Just hang out in Innoventions in Epcot!

We all love Disney, but I think we might be in the "problem zone" if we're moving around our weddings for ride closures. laugh

Haha - yeah, that would be bad. "Sorry Mom, Space Mountain is closed, we're going to wait a few more months. Never mind the money you've put down, we want our Space Mountain and TTA!"

Innoventions is always a go-to place for rain storms.

Last time we went I did the firing range thing in Adventureland for the first time during a downpour. It was way more fun than I would have given it credit for!

Wait...what? I thought it was standard practice to plan a wedding date based on your honeymoon destination. No? sad

I haven't done that on any of my trips. I'm going to make sure to do it next time. Do you pay anything for it, or do you just wait in line? (I'm feeling ignorant)

You do pay for it which is why I hadn't done it before - it was like a dollar for 20 shots or something like that. It was surprisingly fun and a good way to kill time during the downpour...

I can't recall ever seeing much of a line for it. Am I wrong?

There's no actual queue - you just walk up, put your money in and start shooting.

I've never seen it all that crowded, but I'm guessing it requires little maintenance and makes a lot of extra money for what it is.

That would be my guess, too. It's pretty much a standard carnival shooting range with a couple of bells and whistles. I've never seen a "line" for it, but I haven't been to WDW during a VERY crowded time for a while.
