Me too - about Primeval Whirl! I was so disappointed when I saw that.
Since the thread veered briefly into the realm of food, I will add:
Beverly. I love me some Beverly. I suck down at least two cups each time I walk into Club Cool.

So do I. Doesn't everyone?
Spot on!! I too have a soft spot for Tomorrowland Speedway. As a young child, this was one of my favorites.. I did not have my dad around to enjoy the ride with me, so I take great pride in going on this ride multiple times per visit with each of my two children by my side. Both enjoy the ride as much as I did when I was their age..
This is something I will always remember and I'm sure when they are grown up they will remember as well. It is definitely great bonding time with the kids. Re-theming is definitely something I wouldn't mind seeing happen soon..
Considering how our topic, "What Do Others Rave About That You just Don't Get?" is one of our interesting and more popular topics, I think it's time to ask the opposite. So what are the attractions a good solid portion of Disney fans don't like but for you for whatever reason, you have a soft spot for that or you thoroughly enjoy. This is the time for all you good people to confess your guilty pleasures about WDW.![]()
For me, I know a good portion loathe Tomorrowland Indy Speedway but it's still a favorite of mine. I think it's because since my parents didn't take to Disney very often, I never got to experience a common father-son moment. What I mean is being that 4-5 year old boy sitting in the car with your father by your side while you get to drive for the first time. It's nothing but joy, excitement and a lot of fun. I've done the Speedway and it's always me driving solo but I could only imagine how I would have felt if I got drive those cars at a young age with my father right next to me. Plus I think it's one of the only times where you drive for fun. We often need to drive to get to work, buy groceries, dine or even travel to Disney World. We often can't drive for leisure these days because it wastes gas and money. Even for other amusement parks, they'll have an extra separate charge for the go-karts that is not included with park admission. The Speedway at Disney, on the other hand, allows us to drive without having to worry about gas, money or even getting into a major wreck and dealing with the insurance!
Could the cars go faster? Absolutely, it wouldn't hurt to go just a little faster than 5 mph. Does it bring a nasty smell with all the cars? Yes, it does and if they were to go electric or something, I wouldn't mind. Could it be re-themed to Cars, Tron or Wreck It Ralph? Possibilities are endless with re-theming. Does it take up a lot of space? No doubt about it. But there's got to be some things for the males enjoy.
But that's just me. What about the rest of you?
For me, it has to be:
Tomorrowland Speedway
Carousal of Progress
People Mover
Country Bear Jamboree
Maelstrom
Small World

Primeval Whirl, It's a Small World, and Country Bear Jamboree.

This might be sort of weird, but I like riding the busses. We live in a tiny town, so this is something different and we don't have to drive.

People mover for me, I truly love it.

I am in the Beverly Club as well!
Just don't understand why others don't like it.

I can see this. I kind of like it too...though I always think it's WAAAY over air conditioned, especially at night. It feels good in the day time for about 5 minutes until I cool off and then I'm always freezing.
Ok so for me here are my loves,
MK
People Mover
Carousel of Progress
Peter Pan
Winnie the Pooh
Small World
The Haunted Mansion (I actually think that others enjoy this one at first but by the end of the trip I have rode it about 100 times and no one else wants to anymore, its my favorite though.)
Epcot
Spaceship Earth (Everyone thinks its boring, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this ride)
Boat Ride in Mexico
The other two parks there really isn't anything that anyone else gets annoyed with. Usually everyone I go with isn't into the "little kids rides" as they call them, but I love them. So they just have to deal lol. My fiance particularly dislikes It's a Small World as he got stuck on this ride as a child lol.
I think the things that I don't really care for but everyone else does is,
Tower of Terror, I love the theming but heights and drops scare the heck out of me. I have only been on twice in 20 years.
A lot of the shows,
Indiana Jones
Nemo
Beauty and the Beast Show
They are just the same everytime you go so after seeing them a bunch its like ehh... The only one that I will keep watching all the time is Festival of the Lion King. Cuz its AMAZING.
I love Spaceship Earth too!!!
I also love AK and it doesn't get too much love on the wide spectrum. I could spend all day there.

"It seems to me that we have a lot of story yet to tell."

Me too!!! I always say it is my second favorite ride (Haunted Mansion has to take the #1 spot!)
Yup - we love it - especially after dark. Great views!

Favorite is Haunted Mansion but I don't think it is necessarily dissed by most...that honor would probably fall to Carousel of Progress, my favorite of the "least favorites"! DH's favorite is the Enchanted Tiki Room...I would be in the "meh" column on that one
but I do go with him...if only for the A/C and a chance to sit and snooze...yes I have napped in the Tikki Room

I love Spaceship Earth. It is so quite and nice and a really nice learning experience about communication. I am a big history buff so when I was in school and we were learning about all this stuff and hearing and seeing about it on Spaceship Earth was really cool. I would be like "hey we just learned about this in class!"

HM is my favorite too! I have yet to make it to the new store, but its going to be one of my first stops when we go next year!
I love all the 'lame' rides - Carousel of Progress, Maelstrom, People Mover, Captain EO, Small World, Peter Pan, Figment haha. Basically anything considered lame or dorky, I love it.

I love all these too! I do get a little adventurous and go on some of the less 'lame' rides, but I draw the line on some. I have never been on Expedition Everest or Rock n' Rollercoaster and probably never will go!
I like Spaceship Earth, too! Though being a history major may be a partial reason for that....But still. I know that ride gets overlooked by Test Track and Soarin' but it makes you appreciate how far society has come and that the world is still changing as we know it.

And out there living in the sun, give me one day out there, all I ask is one to hold forever. Out there where they all live unaware, what I'd give, what I'd dare, just to live one day out there."
