Swan and Dolphin dining?

Has anyone eaten at the swan and dolphin restaurants lately? Any pros/cons or suggestions?

This place in the Dolphin has wonderful food and very pleasant budget prices.

Every time you mention this place, I keep telling myself I must check this out the next time we're there. It looks really interesting.

Great pics too!

Shula's is pretty good. I'm surprised VL hasn't jumped on this thread. He's a big fan. I tend to prefer Yachtsman over Shula's, but Shula's is good. Has anyone tried BlueZoo? I hear it's good.

I've also heard BlueZoo is good but I've never been. A friend of mine went for New Years Eve and said it was amazing..

I've been anxious to try Il Mulino. I hear it's the best Italian food in Disney World. Anyone have a review?

I haven't heard anything about it personally, but:

Thanks, all. I've never thought about it much, but there seem to be some great spots over there. I wonder why they don't get much play in the Disney set. You can WALK there for heaven's sake!

Define "lately". I ate at Bluezoo in May 2009, and LOVED it. It's pricey, but worth it.

We ate at Il Mulino last fall and it was one of the best meals we've had in Disney, maybe anywhere! The veal saltimbocca and the spaghetti carbonara were amazing. Drinks were fun and potent. Looking forward to going again in November... we'll probably order the same dishes again. We're so predictable sometimes Smile

Spaghetti Carbonara is one of my all-time favorite dishes! They don't have it on any other Italian menus at WDW, do they? Great suggestions.

I had the infamous lobster dish. It's quite pricey, but good. As it turned out, it was way too much food for me, so I probably wouldn't get that again. There was a shrimp appetizer that was visually appealing and also tasted great (it has 4 different dipping sauces).

Mostly I recommend Bluezoo for the atmosphere (it's more grown-up than most Disney restaurants) and service.

Thank you for all of the suggestions! I think Il Mulino is more to our taste on the expensive side of things, but will check out the menu for bluezoo as well. And thanks for the pics of Picabu, Joe!!

I think it's a great deal, too. I would love to try those hotels sometime.
