I was pretty disappointed in general, but I thought Conan's commercial was hilarious.

I absolutely roared with the Potato Head commercial!!! I love how he threw his ears out of the car at the end so he wouldn't have to hear her nag. Of course, it was King Charming that pointed out to me exactly what those were. Wonder if he feels he has some experience in that department? yay

But my favorite commercial of the night was the teaser for Up. Did y'all see the cute little Boy Scout? I'm gonna find a copy of that trailer and get it up on my website (Scouting with the Mouse) right now. See, it's so perfect! God's telling me to go full steam ahead with the website, don'tcha think? clapping

I was really shocked that some of those companies felt that those commercials were with 3 million dollars of airtime. I thought it was overall a pretty sub-par year. Of course I think I say that every year.

I actually heard something on NPR just a few days before the superbowl that said all but 8 slots had been filled before August 2008 (I guess when the financial crisis started to hit). And as of a few days before the game, there were still 8 slots remaining. Guess maybe folks are learning that these overinflated prices are just outrageous!

I liked the Budweiser clydesdale one.. that's a continuation of a thread or style they've been working on for years.

But I miss the Bud Bowl. Y'all remember the Budweisers and the Bud Lights squaring off against each other?

Bud Bowl was great. I wonder why they stopped. People talked about the "Bud Bowl" a lot, it had to be good publicity.

I think so but I never did find out who the winner was.

Personally I was always rooting for bud Light. Seemed to be the underdog.

Bud Light could never really compete in the Salary Cap era. They had a spend crazy owner, who made poor personnel decisions, but could cover them up by spending more. Bud was always a well-run team, so they were bound to flourish once the tables were evened. Despite that you sort of miss the amazing teams that Bud Light used to put on the field, you'll never see a Bud Bowl team like that again!
