Has anyone ordered the DVD for trip planning? I was suprised that the new one out now doesn't show as much in depth detail of each Disney resort hotel like in years past. A major part of our stay at Disney is their hotels that we just love. We like the architecture, decor of each hotel. The older ones seemed to give a better well round feel of each hotel. I hope the 2012 DVD goes back to that format. When we get WDW Withdrawal, we pop that DVD in and that seems to keep us going....LOL!
I make sure to get a copy of the DVD every year, even if I don't have a trip in mind. I just like watching it and pretending I'm there!
I always order one every year we go. I just got the latest one last week, but have not had a chance to watch yet.
I've been known to frame them as well. 
I have the 2010 and 2011 DVDs. I'll have to watch them both again to see if there are any differences.

We just got ours yesterday..I usually order one every year. The worst part is that every time you order one they ask when your next trip will be. If you don't book your trip SOMETIMES they send you a postcard discount for 20-30 percent off. Both times I've gotten one I had no WAY of making a Disney trip work...it was such a bummer!

We just got ours a week or two back, and believe it or not we haven't watched it yet. (I know, I know... 
) No questions, no follow-ups or anything so far. Well, other than a newsletter that I signed us up for at the time. I got more response from going onto the WDW site and putting together a trip package and saving it. That brought an e-mail at least. We shall see.

And.... it worked! I got a PIN for 25% value and moderate, 35% on the higher priced spread. 
Of course, no way we can use it for a few years, but at least I can confirm personally that PINs do happen.

I also order one every year..... I think that the earlier ones showed more in depth looks at the parks and resorts. I haven't been as happy with the later ones but I still watch them...and get excited!

That's exactly how I feel! The new DVD is chincy when in comes to details. I look forward to seeing each resort's room, layout, etc. Maybe they will change them for 2012.

I stopped ordering them a couple of years ago. It just seemed to me like the were recycling the same information. I had no idea that they were connected to getting a PIN. Maybe I'll have to give that a try!
We order one every year and like to show them to my son. Actually, I don't think I have this year's! The latest we watched was the Year of a Million Dreams, we just watched that last week.

I watched this year's again last week and am currently watching last year's. So far last year's is better.
