Trying some DTD restaurants?

When we're in WDW this September we've made most of our ADRs. We're going out of our way to try a few new places in DTD, because those are some of the only places we've never eaten. We've already booked Wolfgang Puck's, but we probably are going to do one more . Which would you pick out of:

Bongo's
Captain Jack's
Fulton's

I have not eaten at any of those 3 (except dessert at Bongo's,which was "meh"), but I'd pick Fultons just for the experience of eating on the boat. mickey

I honestly don't even know what kind of food they serve at Captain Jack's. I guess I"ll have to go do some research.

Raglan Road is worth a try.

I think I would eat at Fultons if Jan will give up a couple of her meds for the month.
In seriousness, we have had a meal at Raglan Road and enjoyed it for a total cost of about $60.00 We have had Fish & Chips right next door at Cook's of Dublin for about $25.00 and enjoyed it and the Disney atmosphere just as much. It's all a matter of personal desires.

I love how Joe always includes a picture to entice you.. laugh

I liked Capn Jacks but honestly the only thing on the menu that appealed to me was the lobster..which we'd never had before..and which we thought was good.
What worries me is that people who have had lobster before might not love it.

I would think that FUlton's would beat Capn' Jacks in a seafood smack down...

I've never been to either of those three but Wolfgang's is one of my favorites. Yum!

What else have you had, DD? They have amazing Shepherd's Pie, fish and chips, Guiness stew, and the kid's mac and cheese (made with the Irish Cheddar) is TO DIE FOR. My love of Dalkey Sausages is WELL documented: they are a CAN'T MISS. I'm def going to try the Celtic martinin on your recommendation!

We ended up having to go to an Urgent Care and he spent about 6 hours SICK. It was also our first night of the vacation so it started the week off well, haha!

Now he knows what to avoid though!

Fultons chicken is great! Funny Story: Last time we were at the World we went to Fultons with some relatives who live in FL. My cousin (15) didn't know what calamari was. Her mom told her it was a "Fish Steak". No one ever mentioned what it really was, and she enjoyed it! Ignorance is bliss.... rolling

Futons and Raglan Road were both very good. Fulton's is an absolutely first rate seafood restaurant. We liked the food at RR, and the live entertainment was very good. Fulton's is formal, but not so much that my 10 year old couldn't manage it. Raglan is informal and very loud. Again we enjoyed both.

I've also read that the meatball bar at Portobello's is very good for lunch.

We may be heading down to Raglan Road next weekend - it's their "halfway to St. Patty's Day" celebration. DH is floating the idea. Don't know what's on tap (ha! that's funny!) but it's RR...so I have no doubt it will be wonderful. Here's a little blurb about it that I found on Disney Food Blog in case you want to know more...I've been on a major U2 kick lately, so this sounds pretty awesome.

We also love Fultons & it is a top notch restaurant. They do specialize in seafood but they have much more then that. You can dress formal if you want, and they even go as far as having private dinning rooms, but you can also go in shorts, a polo and sneakers. There is no dress code as far as I am aware, people just tend to dress up a little for there. Business casual is what we normally see. But I have seen people there in t-shirts and jeans. It is pricey though!

Captain Jack's is terrible! Stay away! Little portions that are not very good and over priced.

Raglan Road is our favorite. Love the Irish food!!! Also, T-Rex has awesome "Bronto Burgers".
