Tusker House or Cape May?

We have all of our ADRs made for our trip in November, except for ONE breakfast. We can't decide between Tusker House and Cape May.

We have decided that on this trip we will not eat at any restaurants that we have been to before, so that means no CRT, no Chef Mickey, no Crystal Palace, etc.

We are trying to branch out and no eat at our go-to restaurants on this next trip!

Thoughts?

I would say with kids the Tusker House is the better choice. I really like Cape May better but we do not have kids with us when we go.

We're doing the Tusker House character breakfast this October with my niece and nephew. From what I hear, kids love it, and if you book the 8:00 breakfast, you're in Animal Kingdom before it is officially open.

Cape May has an EXCELLENT "Clam Bake" for dinner. This is a "Must Do" for us. We ate snow crab legs till we were sick. So much food that is really delicious. We haven't gone there for breakfast just dinner.

We've decided to dine in new restaurants as well.

I love the breakfast at Tusker House. I haven't tried Cape May Cafe yet, but will this year.

The DW and I did Cape May for dinner this past april and thought it was GREAT!!! We decided for our upcoming December trip that since we will have my neice for a few days that we do would b-fest at Tusker House and Cape May for the extra character experience. I think it will be GREAT as well. Already did Crystal Palace and 1900 Park Fare and those were very good.

Thanks for the input! I think we are going to go ahead with Tusker House. I showed my 5 year old son pictures of each and let him pick because I really couldn't decide! laugh So, he ended up picking Tusker House!

For breakfast I think Tusker House is much better then Cape May. I had a horrible experience at Cape May the one time I had breakfast there, but even if that hadn't happened, I would still pick Tusker House. The service just isn't good there, it's great. The servers seem happy to be there and to genuinely enjoy their jobs, and are extremely funny. Every time I've been there my server has always had me cracking up. The food is much better too, and way more interesting. They have sweet potatoes on the buffet, and that's one of my favorite foods ever, plus an amazing bread pudding. But everything I've tried there has been good. The character interaction is good too, but that's not what I go there for, though they do wear cute safari outfits, and Daisy is there. I never see her anywhere!

I think your son did and excellent job of picking! If he's excited about it, then it's likely to be an even better experience!

Plus, eat, then ANIMAL KINGDOM!!

Please let us know what you think about the food there when you return!

Have a great trip!
