WDW in December - How cold is it?

We've never been to Disney in December, and have no idea what to expect temperature-wise. Weather.com says the average for early December is mid-70's during the day and low 50's at night. But the record highs are int eh 80's and record lows in the 30's. Anyone have any advice on what to take for clothes? We're assuming long pants and maybe long sleeves during the day and light jackets or sweatshirts at night.

Joe already says he's not riding Splash Mountain and if it's in the 60's no outdoor rides. I think I agree!

In an unrelated note, this stuff came today for our trip in a few weeks! YAY!

I just scrolled through my pictures from the week after Thanksgiving from last year and we were wearing short sleeves in all of them. I didn't even have a jacket on in the ones taken after dark. Hope that helps.

We've had shorts and T-shirts during the day and sometimes had to put long trousers on at night at that time of year. It's usually just after Christmas that it gets colder.

Jeff, I think you just have to keep an eye on the weather, when we go in January we usually wear shorts. Rare that we ever have to wear long pants and long sleeve shirts, but I would advise to take some just in case. Florida came have some extreme temperature changes in the same day.

Jeff - as a current resident of Central Florida, my advice is to (of course) watch the weather closely a week or two before your trip (wesh.com is a good local source), but it's wildly unpredictable down here. This weekend, for instance, we've been lows in the 30s and 40s and highs only in the 60s, but it's supposed to warm back up to 50s/70s this week...plenty of sunshine can make it feel warmer if you aren't in the shade, but sometimes the winds can cut right through you. Lots of light layers in light colors that you can peel off - that's my advice. And don't forget the sunscreen and shades Smile! Some shorts but pants too...you just never know.

Just a word of advice...err on the side of preparing for anything. We thought we were well prepared for a weekend last February, and we froze our butts off because of the wind.

Have a wonderful time!

When we've gone in December, we've always packed to "layer." In the early morning, we usually need long pants and a hoodie. Then in the middle of the day, it's shorts and a t-shirt! I like wearing capri pants that you can roll down or up depending on the temp, then bringing a long sleeved shirt that you can take off and wrap around your waist or stick in a backpack.

layers! We went in December and wore t-shirts underneath sweatshirts. It's nicer during the day but early morning & once the sun goes down can get chilly.
