We might be moving to Florida!!!!

**fingers crossed** We might be moving to central florida soon! Yes, the mouse just rubbed off on us that much! hehe.. just kidding! As most of you know my family (aunt/uncle/cousins/etc.) all live about 40 minutes north of Orlando. I have been trying to move down there since I was in high school, but never made it! After visiting with my family on our recent trip we really all started discussing the possiblity of us moving down there. My parents live in Michigan, so there isn't really anything holding us back.

Well, except Brandon's job. He works in Aerospace, so he has been putting in application for companies in Orlando for the last week. We will probably live between Orlando and Mt. Dora/Eustis (where my family lives)... Maybe Sanford or Altamonte Springs. I have even been looking into jobs for WDW, on the company side. How awesome would that be?!?!

We are still in the planning stages, really just waiting to see if B can get a job or not.... but fingers crossed!!!!

p.s. then you all would have a place to stay when you come AND I would have a reason to go to Disney more often to visit you guys.. lol..

Wow that would be awesome! I plan on moving there after college. It's crazy how cheap houses are in Florida compared to 15 mins outside New York City!

I hope everything works out for you. I understand there are a few companies in the aerospace industry in the area. I hope the lack of anything happening at NASA doesn't cause problems as it's aparently effecting many companies in central Florida.

We had thought about it because how awesome would that be to live that close to Disney and their are great hospitals all around Disney...I even keep an eye out for nursing positions within Disney to open up.....but I just can't get myself to leave all our family behind...they all live around where we live now

Ive been on Jess to move out of state for years, but understand why she wants to stay. But ive been pushing to move to Florida for health reasons as of late. The major thing holding me back is my parents and I own DVC Points... I would almost find it pointless unless we were a couple hours out...

Here are just a couple ways to use those DVC Points when you live near by:


  1. Lend them to your parents (or Jess' family) to come visit you

  2. Use them on the Disney Cruise

  3. Weekend trips where you want to be close to the action due to events or meet-ups (off property is still off property even when it's home) a "home base" can be important.

  4. When you want to indulge in Cocktails/Beer/Wine and don't feel like needing to drive home

  5. Date Night

  6. Rent Out "Extras"

Would be awesome if yall moved too!!! But I totally get having family around, I wouldn't move if my family were here...
