What CM job would you NEVER want to do?

Taking a page from bali's What disney job would you want thread, I think it'd be interesting to see what people think would be a horrible job.

I imagine working the check-in desk at a hotel would be pretty difficult. All those disappointed people because they didn't get their requests (or, worse, they didn't know to make requests and therefore are doubly upset with their room assignment!) sad I've heard a few unbelieveable conversations happening at check-in sarcastic

I don't want to work the front desk at Le Cellier and deal with a day full of people naively thinking they're going to get a table without a reservation.

I couldn't be a costume character. They have to take a lot of abuse and the minute they say or do anything or even accidentally brush up against someone it's a lawsuit and on the 10 o'clock news.

I feel you pain Tigger...

That's a really good point. You get kicked in the nether-regions all day and then when you try to defend yourself you get fired. Plus that thing HAS to be hot. Put me down for not-a-character too. I guess they don't seem to kick the ones without a costume as much.

Agreed on the hot! I've heard that it gets to be 120 in there! I'd be OK with being a princess -- they probably don't get kicked as much -- but Tigger or Goofy, forget it sarcastic silly

I would agree with not wanting to be in a character costume! And the front desk at Le Cellier would get VERY annoying!

I would not like to be one of the character handlers either - having to tell people Mickey has to go away before they get to see him would be awful!

Hi,

I am sleepless here in New Jersey, probably because I ate too much ice cream last night.

I think those who wish to work for Disney after their retirement (or firing or downsizing; given the economy and judging by many of the calls I got yesterday, I feel that many employers are looking for any excuse to get rid of workers) are either very idealistic or gluttons for punishment. Between low pay and employee abuse, I imagine that the "Happiest Place(Drunk on Earth" has (have) a lot of turnover.

I think I'd end up in the hospital from the stress.

Jim

The nice thing is, if you're retired if they get mean you can just quit.

Just like the old Johnny Paycheck country song "Take this job and shove it" biggrin
