I'm ducking as I type this but I just don't get Fantasmic. I've seen once maybe twice in six trips & just don't see why everyone loves it so much. Maybe I'd enjoy it a bit if the seating was actually semi comfortable those backless, cushionless metal benches are, quite literally, a pain in my butt as well as causing pain in my back from having to sit on them for so long without back support.
Soarin'. It's okay but again I don't get why people love it & I've ridden it at both DL & DW.
Omg- I totally forgot to mention "soaring." Was totally not getting what all the fuss was with that 1. For the 3-d/movie immersion effects we really liked "space tour" (HS I think) & "it's hard to be a bug" w/bugs life characters in the AK.
Cshdaily - as someone who loves roller coasters, I totally understand where you're coming from on the thrill rides. Having been to Cedar Point (America's Roller Coast!), the thrill rides, even Rockin Roller Coaster and Everest, don't compare. I wish I'd bought the picture of my sisters and I from Everest last May. The three of us looked like we were sitting at a library, bored out of our minds (no idea why, we were having fun!). I always have to remember that the point of Disney is not thrill rides. Even the thrill rides are targeted for all ages, thus will be "milder" than some of the massive coasters you'll find at other parks (we were surprised at DL Paris when Space Mountain went upside down!). But there's so much else at Disney to make up for it, I still love it!!

Yep, right on Kristen! That is why even though I cannot handle some of the rides now, I do feel at all deprived. I really need to stand in the cue for TOT and some others just to see the fun stuff, then duck out the "chicken" door. Or let's call it the more friendly "changed my mind" door...or perhaps the " no way in h***" door....?

I did LMA once maybe twice, not my cup of tea. I ride the Backlot Tour but don't really like it since it hasn't at all besides the AFI Hall of Fame as you exit.
Love ToT, Coaster, Toy Story, GMR, Star Tours, Everest, Dinosaur, Safaris, all three mountains (Space depends on where I sit), POTC, Haunted, People Mover, Buzz's Spin, Dumbo, Journey of the Little Mermaid, CoP, Journey Into Imagination with Figment, Soarin and Test Track.
Don't mind the boat rides, Barnstormer, Tea Cups and other rides like that.
Didn't like Captain Eo, Ellen's Energy, The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow, Habitat Habit, Astro Orbiter, Country Bear Jamboree and HoP.
I love Pin Trading, I have started my own collection with a bag and all. I'm obsessed with Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom.
Vinylmation's has caught my eye but I can't afford both Pin trading and Vinyl's at once.
Haven't tried turkey legs yet but want to because I'm the try it once type of person. Dole Whips are good. Liked Flower and Garden, haven't experienced Food and Wine yet. But I am a Disney foodie.

The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow
I haven't really seen anyone who has said they love this - but I gave it a try because it was new and I figured that I should. I went in keeping an open mind and trying to feel like I was on a pirate adventure. Ummmm... no... I just couldn't get into it at all. It felt forced and disjointed, the effects were just meh compared to the rest of the Disney spectrum. Jack was neat - it really did seem like he was there - the rest though just fell flat.
Agree...Absolutely unimpressed with Captain Jack Sparrows Adventure. Did it once, that was enough.

Yea. I thought it was lame. We waited 45 minutes for it too. You have to do everything at least once though!
Captain Jack is rated lower then Captain Eo from what I've heard. It is better then Narnia: Prince Caspian. They re-did it and made it shorter by taking out the Kracken and Jack getting slapped because those were scary.

A couple of things for me.
Parades: Don't get me wrong. The floats are nice and all but I'm just not of parades in general. Plus I've done so much standing in lines already so I don't think I'd be comfortable standing for another 30 minutes. Fireworks are different because it's close to the end of the day and I'm more relaxed because I've gotten more rest and the weather has cooled down. With parades, it's the afternoon, the weather is still kinda hot for my standards. I'd rather go on more rides when the parades are going on honestly.
Dance Parties in the bubble: The Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It, Downtown Disney on occasion and Club 626 come to mind. There's always a large crowd taking part in those. I have chorophobia, the fear of dancing in public. I'm so paranoid someone is going to videotape and put me on YouTube solely because I have the "wrong moves" so to speak. Plus my physique isn't Ryan Gosling or Brad Pitt material either. So I just walk away from those.
Popcorn: I read so many times the love for Disney World popcorn. For me, I don't hate it per say but, it's just popcorn and nothing really special. To me, all popcorn tastes the same. I can't tell the difference between movie theater and microwave popcorn. I just can't! Now caramel corn, on a different note, that I love much more!

There are lots of things that I don't "get". In addition to some already mentioned:
Stitch's Great Escape - I've heard many people criticize this attraction for being LESS intense and scary than its predecessor? This attraction is horrifyingly scary! I'll never do it again!
Le Cellier & Brown Derby being 2 TS credits on DDP - We've eaten at each once and I didn't find the food to be so stellar that it was worth two very precious table service credits per person. Plus, looking at the pricing, they didn't seem to be 2x's as expensive as other table service restaurants, so I think it's a pretty bad value to use DDP here.
Vinylmation - Are they supposed to look like Mickey because the proportions are not very Mickey-like. I like the idea of different Disney designs on a consistent medium, but I don't like the execution.
There are lots of other things I don't particularly like or that I don't do because of my own particular fears or motion issues, but I understand completely why they might appeal to other people.
There is one thing that used to be absolute nonsense to me, but once I tried is, I got hooked--Pin Trading--I trade like a crazy person, but when my friend who got me hooked was explaining it to me, I so totally did not get it. My comment to him was "why don't I just buy the pins that I want?" It's more the CM interaction (it's really fun to talk to cast members and trading is kind of like an ice breaker) and the every once in a while finding that rare one out of 90,000+ pins that has your favorite character or completes the set you're been trying to finish for like two years. It's the same thrill that folks in our area seem to get out of yard sales and flea markets. I've come to enjoy the conversation aspect of it so much that I trade a pin with literally every cast member I talk to even if they have mostly "crappy" pins on their lanyard. All of my best keeper pins I actually bought from a collector who lives in our town who had decided to liquidate his collection. The trading in the parks is just entertaining for me now with much less of a "find all of the awesome pins" mission aspect, but it's still fun!

Oh but that looks yummy; the last ones I had were at Beck's Cajun Cafe in the Philadelphia Amtrak station food court. I haven't really tried that many foods at WDW that people rave about, but I do love Dole Whips. I suppose the fish and chips in World Showcase's England pavilion are meh.

That's my favourite part of the ride.
I must admit, I kinda like Maelstrom. I don't know why really. I just find it relaxing in a Living with the Land sort of way.

Now Living with the Land is one of my favorite rides haha!
