What if (edition 13).....

Saw this on another board, and thought of bringing it here

What if............ Disney went to create a new park. What theme would you like to see?

Water (Feature anything from water parks, to a Sea World type, and water rides)
Sports (Expands on their sports with more interactive environments, let Disney figure out rides... lol)
Disney Villians (Kinda gets down to the point)
Thrill (Take California Adventure and AMP it up!)

I would love to see a DisneySea kind of thing in WDW!! That would be great! And a Disney Villains park could be fascinating, I think -- and scary!

A sports-themed park could be cool, seeing what they did with All Star Sports. awesome

I'd love to see more thrill rides, but I think they could get them into the existing parks. I've always thought the Villains park could have a real appeal.

I love the DisneySea idea - from what I gather, it's really amazing.

Where would you want to see another theme park - WDW or someplace else? There's already SOOO much to do at WDW...

Ready for the rumor mill? Rumor is that Disney is planning a new Park. The talks have been about a Wild West theme. Personally... I dont see it. I would like to see something you cant experience elsewhere because thats something you can experience a bit in the Magic Kingdom. But last I heard... that idea is dead in the water, BUT... Disney is thinking about another park.

Second part of the rumor mill. The Campsites for Fort Wilderness Lodge will be the spot for the new park.

End Rumor...

Now...my personal thought is that Hollywood Studio's needs some love before a new park is created. If they want that park to last long... they need to do some renovations, or even add on to it. So thats my 2 cents on it all... continue... lol

First of all I think the imagineers could come up with a MUCH better theme than something that has been done quite a few times and I think would draw a relatively small crowd. Don't forget thet Disney recently bought all the rights to the Marvel Comics and in that you have a rather large database to do a new park with plenty of new rides, attractions, "superheroes"
and all else associated with building a new "LAND". But I doubt that is even in the works or planning stages for the forseeable future.
Secondly You say "The Campsites for Fort Wilderness Lodge will be the spot for the new park." Fort Wilderness Lodge has no campsites associated with it, so do you mean the campgrounds at Ft. wilderness where the hoopdeedoo review is? That will never happen because Ft. Wilderness is too established to be torn down. and WDW has MORE than enough land to build anything they want to WITHOUT tearing anything down. Granted not all of their land is buildable but they have so much land available that they have even started to sell some more of their land to hotel developers so the can build MORE hotels on WDW property. And getting back to Ft. Wilderness campgrounds I understand that Disney has recently started to clean up the old River Country water park area but that has other uses being thought up for that location and it certainly is nowhere near large enough to support a new park. So in my estimation it is just a WILD and baseless rumor, but if you heard it it is a rumor nontheless.

I was just saying what ive been hearing. This is what they want to get rid of: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/campsites-at-fort-wilderness-resort/

As for the Western Theme... that was back in the late 90's and was scratched. Like I said... it is dead in the water. As for the Campsites... thats still a possibility from what I keep hearing.

I can't imagine they'd do anything to Fort Wilderness. There are so many people where that IS Disney for them.

I super agree with this. I know that there are a hand full of good thrill rides at DHS, but since I don't like those, we are rarely at DHS except to eat at the Brown Derby and look at the Christmas lights. With the huge potential of Disney movies, and now Marvel characters, it would be great to see them focus on Disney Movie magic at DHS, rather than building another park. Now, if they could do a water park modeled after River Country, but have it adjoin MK, rather than be a stand alone that people had to pick either a theme park or a water park...that might be cool. Those that experienced River Country miss it, and those of us who never got to would love to (myself included.) I know there are issues with the fresh water...so imagineer it, Disney!
