What's new on your next vacation..?...

Ok folks...If all going well, and I get my vacation booked next month, I have a question to ask all you frequent visitors..What new stuff do you add to your list.?...Ever since we first discovered WDW in 2004, we have made the pilgrimage every two years. And theres always lots of new things to discover, so this year ( all going well ) it will be our first vacation just one year after our last one..I hope I don't get the De Ja Vue feeling..Of course I'll be over the moon that I'm back in the most magical place on the earth, but I fear that just after one year I'll be thinking " Oh Yeh, I know what happens next." So what new things do you folk add to your list to make it as magic as your last trip..I think we were spoiled last year staying for the first time at a deluxe resort and our first experience in the fall with F&W and MNSSHP...I would love to hear your ideas people..

We always try to add something new to our Disney adventure every year. We always put a few new restaurants on the list and maybe a new ride. We were trying different hotels every visit but that stopped once we discovered WL. I don't know if this counts but I get a new piece of jewelry every time we are at Disney. biggrin

Next trip to Disney - Flower and Garden Festival will be new to us. I have to get a pin (ok maybe a "FEW" pins)

Trip to Disney after F&G Festival - First DVC trip!!! I eat at a different restaurant every trip. I know most people have a plan to stay at every resort, I want to eat everywhere! (I really should start a list)

Next Disney Cruise - Star Wars Cruise!!! I got the ok from the hubby to book it today. So excited! Palo Brunch (dinner was wonderful)

I want to start adding tours to our trips. I never feel like we have the time for all the shows, now that we will be visiting more often for sure, I would like to start that. I've never seen Voices of Liberty, and I hear it is a great show. There is so much to do, I could go on and on and on! I just want to do it all. And once I have, start all over.

We try to eat at places we haven't tried before and this time we are going to go visit some of the other resorts. A "new" experience for us will be Festival of the Lion King - can you believe we have never seen it?? There are sooooo many things to see and do, I doubt we will ever get them all done. Guess that is part of the magic and it keeps us coming back!

Yeah..I understand that a lot of american tourists don't do a 14 day vacation that most UK visitors do..I've got a friend who lives in California and makes a trip to Disney Orlando about three times a year, but his trips average about 5 days per trip... eek ..I think we have seen all the live shows..( don't miss Voices of Liberty ) and done all the rides that were on our 2014 list..As far as eating out I agree it's great to try new restaurants but we do have favourite ones that are on our " must dine " each trip list...Never thought about any tours whilst I'm there...Cool idea..

I would also agree about the tours. We want to add that into our plans next time. Plus we have done a fishing excursion and I saw on another thread about doing the parasailing if you are the adventurous type. Have you played Miniature Golf yet? Sounds like it could be fun! laugh

No crazy swinging in miniature golf. It's actually one of our favorite things to do!

I ran thru a list earlier... I've eaten or had a drink at 40 restaurants/lounges on property. I have a pretty good start!!!

I haven't decision when my next Disney trip will be but there are certain things I definitely want to do in terms of new activities. First off is staying at a deluxe resort, preferably Animal Kingdom Lodge or Wilderness Lodge.

The second is taking off-days away from the parks, allowing more time to do other activities and explore my home resort more. One activity that bests suits this mold that I'm really interested in doing is resort hopping. I've never had the time to explore the other resorts and that's something I really want to do. It'll allow me to soak in and see if I'm willing to spend another trip at a different resort for future ones or stick to the ones I'm comfortable with. Also want to try resort specific food that everyone raves about that I've never had, like magic cookie bars and the number one bucket list food item which is Tonga Toast for me!

Third, try new attractions/seen shows I've never done before. I've never ridden the Haunted Mansion shockingly. Haven't seen Fantasmic before so that's one I have great interest in seeing. Those are probably the two biggest ones for me.

Fourth, dine at a Disney buffet. I've never had the time or the money to do it. Boma tops the list for sure in that category being that the rest are mainly American food, character dining or both and character dining isn't in my interest.

A possible fifth one is getting to experience signature dining. As stated earlier, never had the time or money to do so.

For our September trip we are doing a split stay for the first time at two new to us resorts, Boardwalk and Beachclub. We have also never been to Disney in September and we plan on doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour. There will also be new restaurants but I haven't figured out which ones yet mickey

oooh have a great time--that meal was the highlight of SWW for us!

As for first time stuff, we almost always try at least one new restaurant and I love doing the tours. We've done Keys to the Kingdom (my favorite so far, would definitely do again), Undiscovered Future World (great tour, but it was super hot that day, so lots of memories of just slogging through the backstage area in the soup atmosphere), and Behind the Seeds (need to do again--so much information, difficult to grasp on the first try). This fall, I'm planning to do my first runDisney half marathon and hopefully hit Festival of the Masters weekend for the first time. It will also be my cousin's and my best friend's first trips to WDW in a long time, so it will be awesome to see things through their eyes.

Of course, the first that we're most looking forward to at the moment is going to Disneyland next month.
