Wilderness Lodge Villas?

Has anyone stayed in the Wilderness Lodge Villas?

What can you tell me about them? I was looking at pictures and I noticed that they don't have the big family dining table like AKL and VGC, which I'm a little bummed about. Overall they look nice though, and I'm happy that we're going to be closer to the Magic Kingdom than at AKL.

Have you stayed there? What are your thoughts? Are they as roomy as other 2 bedroom villas? Are they comfortable?

My husband and I stayed in a "Studio" room for our anniversary. It was really nice. The small couch turns into a bed (if you need). Had a microwave, sink, and small fridge. Our room was really close to the hot tub so that was great after the long walks in the parks to relax. We absolutely LOVED this resort! The CM's are wonderful, rooms are great. Had a wonderful time, would highly recommend it.

We'll be in a 2 Bedroom Lock-Off so we'll have a 1 Bedroom with an Adjoining Studio. I usually put my older kids in the studio.

I'd love to ask for a room close to the hot tub. Any idea what room number you had?

This was about 3 years ago that we stayed there. All I remember is that it was on the ground floor. I'll try to see if I have a picture or something that has the room number on it.

NHshorty and I, along with my 3 kids (at the time ages 17, 21, & 23) stayed in a two bedroom villa a couple of years ago. This was a huge step up from the Fort Wilderness Cabins we had always stayed in. The 2 girls had the bedroom (with a bath) which had 2 double? beds. My son used to pull out couch in the living room, and we had the bedroom with the king size bed. The amount of room was great and everyone had some degree of privacy.

On our last trip at the end of May 2012, NHshorty and I had a studio. It was basically the same as the two bedroom villa, with one of the bedrooms (with the two double beds and the bath) locked off.

Both times it was excellent. The kitch is not large, but the fridge, stove, etc are full size. There's a counter with seats and a small table with a couple of chairs.

The WL Villas are in a seperate building from the WL, but connected to the WL by paths and a covered walkway. The WL lobby serves the villas.

I haven't stayed in the villas, but I made good use of their amenities! I was staying in the Lodge, but my hubby and I would go over to the villas to sit in the rocking chairs on the porch and look out at the forest. We'd also hang out in the small lobby to enjoy the fireplace and the adjoining games room they have there. It's so quiet and beautiful in the lobby! I also loved the villa pool. It has a few bubbly "springs" in it which make swimming more fun.

I hope you enjoy your stay there and that the room meets your needs.

We are staying in a Deluxe Studio Villa in February. I will provide lots and lots of pictures after we return!

Karli - Fantastic! I can't wait to see them!

Buffalo Bill - If you hosted a little get together in the Villa (we'll have a 2 bedroom lock off), how many do you think would be comfortable hanging around for an hour or two talking, eating & drinking? I think I count 7 seats in the living room area, plus bedroom space. Four of the green wood chairs, two on the couch and a stuffed chair by the window. Perhaps I could move the low bench from the Master Bedroom.
