Ziploc bags! If you have kids, pack a complete outfit (shirt, shorts, socks, underwear) in each bag, squeeze out the air and zip it closed. All you have to do each morning is grab a bag. The kids can dress themselves that way. We'd pack an extra outfit for each child in our backpack when we went to the parks. They'd play in the fountains, we'd change them and put the wet clothes in the ziploc. Go on water rides? Toss your camera, cell phone, etc in a bag and they stay dry. You'll find a million uses for them. I know I did!

Oh, yes! And moleskin just in case.

My packing tip: pack for all weather. In the winter, pack for cold AND heat; in the summer, pack for sun AND downpours mickey

That's great advice! We're always glad to have a ziploc bag along when we're getting wet. The camera appreciates it too!

Great tips so far! Love the home-made "space bags!"

And, MrHub, we've had a few trips where one or both of us couldn't walk by the third day of park touring! Now we don't leave the house with a new pair of shoes anywhere close to us.

I'm very much in favor of comfortable shoes and ziploc bags. Both great suggestions. Our must-bring item is a wireless router. Figuring out who would get to use the connection would be horrible.

Hey cdub, i've often thought about taking my own wireless router. Have you done that before and does it work in the resorts?

We're planning on bringing a router on our next trip; it seems like the perfect solution. We can both be online at the same time, and we don't have to be crowded around the little table(Drunk in the rooms.

Awesome tip. I have no idea how to set one of those up, but it'd be handy for sure. Then I wouldn't be tied to the wall all the time.

If you are like me (a chronic overpacker) my tip would be (if you dont mind your clothes being a little wrinkled) to roll your clothes up. Leaves so much room for everything else that needs to go into your suitcase! yay

For any trip: pop up laundry hamper & collapsible fabric drawer organizers

For DW: emergency ponchos - you can get them for under a dollar in the sporting goods/camping sections of Target & WalMart or two for a dollar at Dollar Tree - being able to pull one out of your pocket or bag as soon as it starts raining will keep you from being soaked, miserable & on your way back to your hotel should the clouds let loose unexpectedly

Packing Cubes! They're smaller fabric bags that sort of act like drawers for your suitcase. They help me stay organized and my bag stay neat which means my clothes are less wrinkled.

I have been looking into this packing cube thing. I am wondering if I would like them. Usually, I pack a median sized bag for myself, a medium bag for DH and the girls both share a large bag. (If we are flying anywhere then everything changes since the large bag is always overweight, by a TON wink )

What type of cubes are you using? I have to learn more about these. Might save me room on our trip to Cali in July.

Shoes, I take nothing cute to wear for any park time, no need. 2 pairs of tennis shoes that are different brands that offer different support and cushioning. Then I alternate days with them. That has saved my aching legs and feet!

I have Eagle Creek Packing cubes and I absolutely love them. Becks saw me using them last year and now they use them too.

I have a 2 sided cube that I use for underwear and accessories, and a large envelope for shirts & pants. The envelope comes with a folding guide/template so that you can fold everything to the perfect size, then you layer them into the envelope and close down the wings. It compresses everything together and holds it all perfectly in place. When I first got the cubes I didn't think that I would like them, they were sent to me by the company to review. However after using them, I honestly don't want to pack without them ever again. It's on of those things that you kind of have to experience to be able to truly appreciate them.

Well lets see!!! For my useual 5 night stay I bring my own pillow ( Just can't stand those foam things.) 6 pairs of socks, 6 changes of under wear, 6 pocket tee shirts. 3 pairs of jeans, ( weather permitting) 3 pairs of cargo shorts, hair brush, teeth cleaner and Polygrip, deodorant, poncho, one extra pair of sneakers and the clothes I have on my back. I'm good to go. Oh yeah......some money to eat at counter service places. Can't go to Disney 4 times a year and spend the kind of money most of you talk about.

We are with you Joe. We can barely squeeze out one trip a year and with J buying his classic truck (1951 Dodge pick up) last month we will not be going this year. yuck sad
