Your Favourite Perk At WDW...

Good Morning Everyone...I know...It's me again.. waiting ...If I'am posting too much let me know. I don't want to see soldiers outside my castle...Anyway after reading folks opinions of off site guests getting to book FP + on the 30 day mark, I got curious ( as ever ) to find out what your favourite perk is at Disney..?...After much Tinking. I think mines has to be actually staying on site. Now I know some folk might think that's not really a perk..But to get up in the morning and realise that I'am living inside the magic bubble is a dream come true..I swear I can smell the pixie dust in the air..Well maybe it's the candy, but it sure smells like pixie dust..Anyway I asked my DW what hers was, and she said, the extra hours, morning & night..My DS said getting his stuff delivered back to our resort so he doesn't have to carry it around the parks. ( I remember the first year he bought the complete Stitch costume, the one you fit inside.phew ) Anyway, over to you good people..What is your number one favourite perk..?

I think for us the biggest perk is parking our vehicle after the long long long drive from South Western Ontario and letting them provide all our transportation needs. Letting them do the driving is wonderful!!! mickey

I think the King and his family said it well. My DS would add that everyone working there, no matter if they are mousekeeping or head honchos are CMS so they have a roll to play and he thinks that is so cool.
But I also have to add Skunk's proposal because I LOVE not having to shelp my stuff around and add to that the mass transit system. I love not worrying about a car, where we parked, should we be driving extra. But again, as the King says, "We're in the bubble and it's warm and fuzzy there." muchlove

I would say for us its the extra magic hrs, the transportation is great also but we drive a lot on most trips unless we are at an epcot or mk resort so don't use it as much I hate the buses ater a long day in the park especially with the ds.

I love the resort airport check in, the Magic Express, and for sure the ability to have your purchases sent back to your room!

Tough question as I love so many of the perks..like buying something and having it shipped back to your hotel you so you don't have to carry it around all day and Magical Express and not worrying about the luggage.
Sorry I just couldn't pick just one.

Oh no! DH got bit by the food poisoning bug at Starring Rolls in December and I just booked Hollywood & Vine for SWW yesterday. If he gets hit again, I'll never hear the end of it!! eek

Let's see...favorite perk...I think mine is FP. It works really well for us in it's current state. It could be tweaked to be even better, but I get to pick 3 rides per day to skip most of the line. And I can tell Disney in advance which ride I want to do this on and when. And I don't have to pay an extra fee for this pass. (Yes I know I'm paying for it in the cost of my ticket, but that makes it seem free.) I love ME, but we really enjoyed having a car on property last trip. If ME wasn't there, I would gladly rent a car. I've only ever been on ME for 3 trips. Other times we drove from home yuck or rented a car.

So many perks - So little time...

Between free park transport (Who doesn't like the monorail!?!), the awesome cast members, the pride of posting pics and messages on Facebook, the Magical Express..

Ok, don't rush me....

I'm mulling it over....

.......

Still the pin, in the map......

Free monorail rides!
yay

I have to agree with the transportation! This will be the first time my parents are flying to Disney, and my dad just loves not having to drove while in the parks. So I am sure he will love not having to worry about getting there and back too!

First time I went with DH as chaperone for his choir, two choir kids were watching the band and sharing a serving of fries (Epcot) and they were sick all night and the next day. I, as their beloved second mom, had the joy of cleaning up after them and missing a day at the parks. We isolated the source and no one else bought there, so it is what it is.

I agree with the transportation. We like not having to worry about parking and the fact that if for some reason we have a little too much libation that someone else is behind the wheel! I also really like that refillable mug in the mornings for that extra caffeine boost or in the afternoons when we come back to enjoy the pools.

It was the legacy/paper Fastpass but now that it's FP+, which I deem inferior to the original FP, I'll go with the transportation system. Is it perfect? No, but it's definitely convenient so that I don't have to waste money on a rental car, worry about driving unfamiliar roads, pay all the parking fees, fret about parking into a crowded lot (Believe it or not, I get really paranoid about parking into tight spaces in general!). Plus there's no additional fee to use any mode of Disney transport.

It's all good. But if I had to choose just one perk, I'd choose the transportation. (I'm including the Magical Express as transportation.) We arrive at the airport, ignore baggage claim, check in for the ME, get excited in transit, and then never need to worry about driving anywhere. I don't care if it takes an hour to get from MK at closing back to our resort. Waiting for a tram, and then walking to/looking for the car, and then driving, and then parking, and then hoofing it to our room takes at least half an hour, so we really aren't losing much time. Then when it's all over (dang it) the ME whisks us back to the airport, and we don't have to worry about luggage until we get back home. It's the best part of staying on site.

I also agree. The family of disney transportation is a great perk for us. It's nice to let them do all the driving.

I also have to go with transportation. I like having someone else do the driving. And not having to pick up my suitcase at baggage claim is a bonus.

I agree with the transportation. Nothing better than ME at the airport. When you are dog tired not having to worry about driving back to the resort - you just let someone else deliver you to the resort. AH heaven.

Although they are great perks for us, DME and bag to resort delivery are also perks for Disney. It allows them to harvest more money from you.

Except for the tip for the driver, how do they get more money? We are offered it free of charge.

I'm sure the cost is built in somewhere.

The Magical Express is awesome. I just love not having to mess with the luggage. All the transportation is wonderful, monorail, bus, boats.. it's all good - no worries! The package delivery is a huge plus since I always seem to buy quite a bit but the new Fastpass + is over the top! To be able to pick and choose what you want to do prior to going and have it all on your magic band. Ohhh the magic band .. I would say that is one of the best. Don't have to worry about the key to the world card, don't have to worry about pulling out credit cards or cash.. just use the band.. also going into the parks is some much easier especially if you are not carrying a bag. I guess it's all wonderful!

Disney studies have shown that guests will spend more when they are not lugging bags of purchases around the parks. It takes that concern out of the equation. Imagine how many purchases you would not make if you had to carry them all day.

Disney studies have shown that guests who take DME are less likely to to rent a car or take a taxi. Those guests will be more likely to never leave Disney property. Those guests will be less likely to buy groceries or go shopping or dine off site. Or God forbid go to Uni or Sea World. DME makes it very easy and convenient to enter the bubble and never leave and all the cash you spend goes only to the mouse. And DME makes them a lot of money that way.
