Colonel - I can't say they are different as we have only ever eaten at the chef's table when we dined there. I do know our meal/experience came with all you could drink wine (which was nice). As well as what we were told were items not on the main dinning areas menu that evening (Swordfish & Dungeness crab that evening).

Now that doesn't mean it is like that all the time and I do know the wine deal is not always on either. It could have been my wife paid extra for it on our visit ... I am not sure, she neglected to let me know on that aspect wink

Ok thanks. I have a reservation for Sept in the main dining room. I am allergic to fish so that knocks out a lot of the menu. I thought I may be better off in the main room because as I understand it there are more choices to pick from on the 7 course menu. It's also a little shorter time wise. I don't know if I can last 3 1/2 or 4 hours. All I hear is good things about all the dining rooms there.

We had an awesome time in the main dining room at V & A. I'm with you Colonel, I wouldn't want to do that long at a meal.

eek WHAT!?!?! They just expanded!!

Sorry for the delay. It was posted on DIS site a while back that they plan to close sometime late summer. The person was not sad to see it disappear, but it was a great place to take my husband's choir each year for breakfast and an inpromput show. I am not verifying to rumor only stating that it was posted. We don't go there during our family trips, only group trips (which mercifully ends this year with DH's retirement). I didnt' go back but the link was "HoB closing."
