Earlier this week Disney announced a special event for the opening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The "Opening Night Event" is planned for December 17 and includes a showing of the new film followed by a private after-hours party at Disney's Hollywood Studios. And as of today, the event is completely sold out.

The holiday season is quickly approaching and Disney recently announced the full list of narrators for this year's Candlelight Processional performances at Epcot. The Candlelight Processional features a re-telling of the Christmas story with celebrity narrators, a choir, the Walt Disney World orchestra, and Christmas songs.

While Duffy the Disney Bear might not be meeting guests at the Walt Disney World Resort anymore, his best friend ShellieMay is arriving on October 20 in merchandise form only. Guests will find several new ShellieMay merchandise items at select locations around the theme parks.

Celebrity Chef Art Smith is bringing farm-to-fork cuisine to Disney Springs in the summer of 2016 with a new restaurant, Homecoming: Florida Kitchen and Southern Shine. Chef Smith was raised in Jasper, Florida so the restaurant's name is inspired by his heritage.
