A new race has been added as a tropical finish to the 2015 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend.

The Castaway Cay Challenge is a joint venture between runDisney and Disney Cruise Line and gives runners a chance to finish their Marathon Weekend with a 5K on Disney's private island, Castaway Cay.

After finishing one (or more) of the Marathon Weekend races runners can compete on January 14 in the Disney Castaway Cay Challenge, a 5K race.

The next big step for Disney Interactive's, Disney Infinity game was showcased at a special event on April 30th 2014. Big names in both the Disney and Marvel Universe arrived in Hollywood for this press event as Jimmy Pitaro (Disney Interactive President), Joe Quesada (Marvel Chief Creative Officer), and Clark Gregg (Plays Agent Coulson on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) unveil Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes.

The Animal Kingdom's afternoon parade is coming to an end this month.

Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade is reportedly ending on May 31.

This will be the second Walt Disney World park parade to end this year. Earlier in 2014, the Celebrate a Dream Come True parade ended at the Magic Kingdom to make way for the Festival of Fantasy Parade.

News out of Marvel continues to expand the universe that has become a huge, box office draw. Six months since it was released that Marvel and Netflix would be teaming up for a round of Marvel-centric shows like the popular "Orange is the New Black" and "House of Cards", Marvel's Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada went on record confirming that The Defenders will be the next property to get Marvel/Disney treatment.
