See, that's the way to do it. Get everyone right next to each other so you cover lots of ground -- no strangers around and you can make as much noise as you want :-) Looks like a wonderfully relaxing way to spend a vacation, Joe!

It was a wonderful time but it's over. Our kids are all hurting due to this recession, our grand kids are all in their 20s and have different intrests and little money. Now it's just Jan and I going on the Disney trips. For us it is still wonderful, just different.
Amazing how romantic 2 old folks in their 70s can be once in Disney World.
Joe
In the top pix Jan is in the middle of chemo.

Sorry to hear about the kids, VL. But I'm glad to know that you guys are still making your way to the happiest place on earth on a regular basis. Great ASMovies pic! And good reminder that I've got to get a few more pics uploaded around here...

What a romantic picture of you two at All Star Movies! I think that should go into the "romance" section of the board! :-)

Not too long now 'til your trip, Joe! Hope Jan's feeling a bit better and recovering well.

Without going into details I will just note that we had a real scare with one of Jan's health issues (Of which she has too many to enumerate.). It has worked out with an adjustment of her meds. Now we can get back to the excitement of our next trip to the 'Healing by Disney'.

Still haven't figured out how to get my current Mickeypath banner up, which is here
<a href='http://www.mickeypath.com/'>

, and how to get rid of the old ones.

I know how to get a submarine to the surface though!

I should be a bit clearer when I write about Jan's current medical condition. She will never get better. The Dr., hospital and meds keep her alive and able to function but that is all.The cancer is in remission but not gone. Never will be. When one of her issues flair up then we worry and start the cycle again. At least once a month there is something to deal with. She has more faith than anyone I know and the best attitude I have seen in all the other similar condition people we have met in the past 7 1/2 years. That's why Disney means so much to us. Even when we make reservations we never know if we will both be around to take the trip so each time we get there is a blessing.
Remember this as you get older. " From your love for each other and your faith will come your greatest strength."

Think I did something right with the Mickey banner.

I think when we all hope she feels better we don't mean all the way better, just better than whatever has us particularly worried at the time. So we're happy to hear when the worry is less

I have to tell you Joe, I've let my beard get about as long as it's ever gotten and it's really not coming together well. Do you find that trimming it and letting it regrow are key to getting it to look thick?

Brad,
I started growing my beard in 1972 and never shaved it off. I keep it trimmed back now but I didn't the first few years. Grew down to my chest. I used to be brown and was always full but very soft hair.

On the hat is an embroidered set of Dolphins. That is the Navy emblem for 'qualified in submarines. Above them reads 'UNITED STATES' and below them Reads 'SUBMARINE VETERAN'.

Maybe I'm just destined to be scraggly. The part in the front of my face grows in well but the areas up by my sideburns is much thinner.

Jan and I have all 5k of our Disney pictures on a disk, slide show, that we can show on the TV. We can't watch the whole disk because it's too many hours but we watch plenty all the time. All we keep saying when an especially nice picture comes up is "I want to be there".

Well Jan is in the hospital again. this time with congestive heart failure. Spent the whole day in the emergency room and got admitted tonight.

Remember this kids! Love is a decision. Romance is a state of mind rather than a purely physical relationship.
In life you may face many storms but in an unconditional romance you make your own weather. Jan and I have got it wired.

Thanks for the great advice, Joe. I especially like the "you make your own weather" part. I hope they're treating Jan right in that hospital; is she often in the same area of rooms when she's admitted so that she's got some familiar nurses? I always find that helpful -- when I know the nurses well. Give her BIG hugs from us here, and let her know that we can't wait to see the pics from your upcoming trip to Pop Century Only 42 days!!!

Jan is responding, so far, to her meds and treatments. Her heart is, however, a bit erratic. Her cardiologist would like to install a pace maker but surgery is life threatening for her. Only to be done as a last resort.
Thanks for all the prayers, good wishes and support. Your a great bunch of people. Sure would be great to all meet up in the 'Mickey's World' some day.
Joe
