Main Street Bakery First Look!

We've been talking about it over on the forums for a couple of weeks now, but our good friends over at the Disney Food Blog have a first look into the brand new Main Street Bakery! A few select guests have been receiving dining vouchers to test out the renovated diggs on Main Street and new home to Walt Disney World's first Starbucks location!

Free Dining Announced for Select Dates This Fall

Our friends at the Disney Food Blog shared the news this morning - Free Dining for Disney Visa Cardholders has been announced for dates in September. The offer is expected to open to the public on May 9.

Guests must have a minimum three night stay between September 2 and September 25 in order to receive the Free Dining. A minimum ticket purchase of at least at two-day Magic Your Way ticket is also required.

Food News In and Around Walt Disney World

Food at Disney World is an attraction in and of itself for many guests; here are some food news tidbits from around WDW.

First up are snacks. It looks like fans of the sweet cream cheese-filled pretzel can now get their fix at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The pretzels can be found on the Streets of America at the Pretzel Garden. Next, guests can use a Disney Dining Plan snack credit (or pay $3.19) to grab a Citrus Swirl. This sweet twist of vanilla soft-serve ice cream and frozen orange juice can be found in the Magic Kigndom's Sunshine Tree Terrace.

Pretty self-explanatory, eh? This column highlights all things edible in Disney World parks and resorts.

Cocktails In The Morning at Walt Disney World

Staggering from my room in the morning on the way to the park drop I vaguely regret the excess of too many Grey Goose slushies the night before. Food is a must have and I've got a reservation at Boma, but what I'm really looking forward to is a Mimosa. This simple morning drink of one part orange juice, and one part champagne is a Mother's Day Brunch favorite that I've declared my vacation staple.

Meaty, Savory Snacks at the Magic Kingdom

The other day my dear husband too a look at my "must eat" list for the Magic Kingdom and made note that it was full of sweet ice cream, cookies, and pastries. I have no problem with this, but he thought that if we were going to be snacking our way through the Park that it might be a good idea to add a little protein to the day. So in honor of my husband, and all the rest of the carnivores out there, here's a list just a couple meaty delights you can find that have a little more style than the typical theme park hot dog.
