Dragon Spotted Over The New Fantasyland

After weeks of speculation, the Great Dragon has finally made his appearance in the night time opening ceremony for the New Fantasyland. He was magnificent.

Must Have Souvenirs from Walt Disney World

We've all experienced that moment at Walt Disney World when you walk into a store on property and your eyes light up because you've found "it" - the perfect souvenir. For some it's an ear hat or a photo frame or a coffee mug. If you have kids you know all too well that for them, the perfect souvenir is everything in the store.

Mickey Mouse Gnomes at the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival

Spring is in the air and the Flower and Garden Festival is now in full swing at Walt Disney World's Epcot Theme park with millions of blooms, great entertainment and new food offerings from March 6 to May 19, 2013. As guests stroll through the themed gardens and wonder in the diversity of plat life showcased in the park they can also spend a fair amount of time shopping for their own gardens back at home.

Genealogical Exploration at Liberty Square's Heritage House

Across Liberty Square from Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, just to the right of Hall of Presidents (when looking at it) a shingle swings above the entryway to the Heritage House, Historical Research Center. How much of a "research center" it is, is up for debate, as most of its space these days is taken up with Jack Skellington gear rather than the American history souvenirs that it used to carry.

The November 2012 Harrods Magazine released an inspired "Once Upon a Dream" photo spread of elegant high fashion designer gowns inspired by the most classic Disney Princesses. This flight into fantasy included designers such as Versace, Valentino and Elie Saab to name just a few.

Holidays Around the World at Epcot

Tradition of the Pickle Tree in Epcot's Germany Pavilion

One of my favorite Disney Christmas traditions can really be found all year long in the Germany Pavilion at Epcot. For may family, it began back in the 1980s when my Dad, who for some unknown reason, became a huge fan of The Pickle Tree.
