Yachtsman Dinner.........quite a few people dining at 5 pm with us. Enjoyed a bottle of Priorat Crianza, Scala Dei Grenache Blend, based on a friend's recommendation. For bread they serve soft onion rolls(nice) and sourdough rolls. Decided to share the porterhouse, and for sides, mushroom caps, truffle mac and cheese, and carmelized onions. Porterhouse was a large cut of meat and came with fries. Way too much food. Steak and mushroom caps were the only things we finished. Lesson learned, skip the mac and cheese and onions next time. Good food and great service.

Beaches and Cream lunch........arrived shorty after they opened at 11 am. Not really very hungry, but needed to eat something before heading over to La Cava. Shared the cheeseburger, onion rings and fries. All were quite good. My favorite Disney burger remains the steak burger they used to serve on an english muffin at Le Cellier. Too full for ice cream. Next time go straight to the ice cream.........cucumber margarita at La Cava for dessert. Good call Lizzy!!

Flying Fish dinner.......early seating when doors opened at 5:30 and restaurant was nearly full when we left. Our friend chose a Pinot Noir, Bethel Heights Estate Eola-Amity Hills, Willamette Valley, which we both enjoyed. We shared the crab cake appetizer, New York Strip, asparagus, and roasted golden beets with goat cheese crumbles. Good crab cake with little filler. Best steak we have had in years. Enjoyed the asparagus, but the beets were exceptional. Great food and service. Gets pretty loud in there when the place fills up.

Kouzzina breakfast.......Bloody Mary please.....I ordered the open-faced ham and cheese omelot, with breakfast potatoes, for a change. Both good, but Pam's choice was better: Vegetable Flatbread w/Scrambled Eggs, Roasted Red Peppers, Spinach, and Feta. My choice for breakfast when we return in Oct.

Yes, I have tried the Grey Goose Slush, and it is tasty. I just prefer a drink in a cup I can't spill so easily while walking around WS. Stopped buying glasses of wine for much the same reason. Hell getting old. silly

Bluezoo - Final night Dinner...........time to finish up, but first some background. Week before we arrived I had dinner with some high school friends. One of the guys, Ken, moved after our sophomore year in high school, so I had not seen him in 40 yrs. Ken owns a winery in Oregon, and I told him that I saw four of his wines on the Bluezoo wine list online, but joked that I couldn't afford to pay $120 for a bottle of his wine. After dinner he got our addresses so he could send some to us. Planning to go visit Ken and his wife very soon.

Decided I would use his expertise and sent him the wine lists from Yachtsman, Flying Fish, and Bluezoo, asking for his recommendations. He emailed back suggestions, and that he would have The Bluezoo set aside a bottle for our dinner.

After we were seated, Christina our server handed me the wine list. Told her we didn't need it, as they should already have a bottle of Ken Wright Pinot Noir set aside for us. She went to check and found nothing. I told her the story, and she went to check with the manager. He came to the table and advised no one was aware of a bottle for us, and that Ken Wright was not on the current wine list. I apologized for the misunderstanding, and ordered a bottle of Pouilly-Fuisse.

Ordered the jumbo sea scallops appetizer, and "simply fish" dinner to share. The fish we chose was cobia, with a warm crabmeat, dijon mustard and chives sauce. Pam requested lobster added to her sauce as well. I ordered shake and bake fries, and Pam the lobster broccoli stuffed cheddar potato.

We were enjoying the wine and breadbasket(3 breads but I forget, and butter w/fennel), when the manager stopped by the table to advise they had just rcvd a call about the Ken Wright wine. Christina appeared with a bottle of Ken Wright "Carter", and said we could cork the white and take it to the room, but as it was our last night, not a good option in my opinion. We had spoken earlier to a couple seated nearby, so I explained our dilemma, asked if they would like a couple glasses of the white wine, and they graciously accepted.

Ken's pinot noir was the best wine I have ever tasted!! We each rcvd a huge scallop, w/braised short rib and cauliflower puree. Awesome!! The cobia and sauce was an excellent combination. Loved the texture of the fish. The parmesan and garlic fries were quite good as well. I didn't try the stuffed potato. Pam said it was OK. Finished the wine for dessert.

Not sure who messed up with the wine, Ken's distributor or Bluezoo, but the food was excellent. Christina was our favorite server of the trip.

Arrived at the International gateway around 2 PM yesterday. This past weekend was the World Dance and Cheer competition @ Epcot(pavilion between UK and Canada). Bus arrived at IG at same time, and dropped off the ECB Street Elite hip hop team, dressed as oompa loompas. Watched their performance around 4:30, and it was excellent. Audio from Willy Wonka all through the dance. They took first place. Hope they post the dance on You Tube soon.

Had late lunch at Tokyo Dining. Pam had the Volcano roll and I had the Dynamite roll. Very good!! We both had a Mt. Fuji cocktail(one of my favorites at Epcot)....sorry the pictures from my phone did not turn out. For dinner we shared the chicken shawarma platter@ Tangierine Cafe, which was very tasty. For dessert we shared our first jalapeno pretzel in America, while watching Paul Revere and the Raiders. Will definitely have more of those pretzels.

Headed to Kouzzina for breakfast now........

Here is the dance routine we saw at Epcot last Sunday:
