When The World Needs Magic

I'll admit it; I'm having a rough time writing this week. The day-to-day world is not a nice place, and Orlando, Florida has had much more than its share of tragedy for the time. Yesterday, I called my boss to ask how I was supposed to write happy Walt Disney World stories amidst all the pain and horror the past week has held. In a calm and reassuring way, I was told that it was all right for me to take time to grieve, but reminded that the world still needs magic.

The Rum Is Never Gone At Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto

As a huge fan of Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel, I was more than thrilled when Trader Sam's Grog Grotto opened earlier this summer at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort in Walt Disney World. This Magical bar is a Tiki lover's dream with a fun South Pacific feel and just the right touch of imagination bringing fantasy to life.

The Magic Kingdom's Festival of Fantasy Parade

Over the years I haven't been known to be much of a parade fan. However, on my last trip to Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom I was absolutely blown away by my first viewing of the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. Just a little over a year old (it debuted February 10th, 2014) this is a production on a grand scale and kicks off in the afternoon to continue the Disney tradition of classic parades in the Magic Kingdom.
