1st timer

Hi Everyone,

As a 1st timer on my way to disney 09/24/2012, am getting nervous and excited all at the same time. My Husband is also a 1st timer. We are going to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary ( 09/24/2012 aslo) and get to have the hooneymoon we didnt last year:(

Were staying at the CRS and plan to vist all 4 parks and DTD. Thanks to all the great feedback/tips on this site, we have a great plan put together and have items needed for the trip i.e. apps, sunscreen,

I do have a question?. Since were celebrating a "special occasion" any suggestions where to drop the line" Its our anniversary" at?.. Not looking to get the royal treatment, but would be nice to give it a try LOL

Thanks everyone, looking forward to hearing your suggestions./

Welcome and congrats on your first Disney World trip! My DH and I are taking a late honeymoon/1st anniversary trip in a couple of weeks, too! How long are you staying for?

Hi, Diva!

Tell the folks at your resort when you check in. Or at your first park, go to Guest Services and get a special occasion button. Then wear it everywhere and maybe magical things will happen. (At the very least, you'll get a lot of congratulations.)

Any idea when I look for the magical express is there one particular shuttle for each resort or are there multiple shuttles driving thru each resort?

Also how do i get one of the count down thingys for my messages>

Thanks everyone

Countdown thingy:

http://www.mickeypath.com/

Once you've got your code, click on your name in a recent post, then click on the "Edit" tab and paste the code into your signature box.

As for the Magical Express, I think you just check in at the Magical Express desk and they tell you what to do/where to go. I also think each bus goes to several resorts. But we'll be taking it for the first time on our upcoming trip, so I am no authority on the matter.

When you get to the ME area, they will tell you which line to join. Each bus serves a few resorts, but if you're lucky, you will be the first resort off. (we were in May - yay! - more time in the parks!). We only waited about 10 minutes for our bus - it worked out great.

Yes, the buttons are nice. Castmembers will be saying congradulations every time they see the buttons BUT make sure you mention it when you make your dinins reservations. Most of the time they will do something special for you if they know you're celebrating something. We just went for our honeymoon last week and we had cheesy decorations on a few tables, but we also got a free champagne toast a few times, and cupcakes for dessert a lot too. It was great!

Hello da-diva! welcome

You're going to have a fantastic time on your vacation! Tell everyone that it's your anniversary because you're totally celebrating! Let them know when you check in at your resort, call dining and have them put it onto your ADRs, then tell them again at the restaurant podium. You could even grab bride and groom ears and have that "real" honeymoon. My husband and I wore "Just Married" buttons when we finally got to go on our Disneymoon - 10 years later.

Once you get to the Magical Express area there will be lots of cast members to check you in for the bus and get you into the right line for your resort. You'll have no problems at all finding your way.

The buttons and or ears will do it for the most part but I would call the 407-939-6244 guest relations and tell them it is a honeymoon or anniversary , so they can mark it on your reservation. Then call 407-939-3463 disney dining and tell them you want your ADR's marked with Honeymoon or anniversary celebration. Don't be shy to have them add it to all the reservations. Between the calls and the buttons you will get the "royal" treatment. awesome

Welcome to the group and congrats.
If you made any ADRs I'd say. Let them know that it's your honeymoon/anniversary. My DW & I had a bunch of cupcakes and fun magical treats.
Disney does it right!

Congratulations and Welcome and Happy Anniversary!! Smile

We're glad to have you!

Yes, tell anyone and everyone that it's your anniversary and wait for the magic to happen!

Letting Guest Relations know ahead of your trip is an excellent suggestion, just so they can mark it everywhere on your room and dining reservations. And then pick up those buttons as soon as you check in!

You're going to have a fantastic time!

Do you have any special dining plans so far??
